	♥ 4:56pm coelacanth∅: i think i had an eargasm when i first heard i'm only sleeping, when i was around 10. a few years later, after i'd started hearing all the hype about revolver being the beatles' best album i went out and got it and had to just think this? this is one of my least favorite beatles albums! ...eventually i figured out that the american release had 3 of the best songs removed and was then outweighed by some of the worst beatles songs.

	4:57pm Linda Lee: what's been really fun about hanging with June (i know i talk about this often, but she really impresses me): before she plays now, she reads from her autobiography, with personal footnotes. & she writes so beautifully, from a musician's perspective, about hearing the music when it was released, that it's really a lot of fun.

Thankfully for those who were there, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Animals etc. did visit Finland in their 60s prime. And later on during 60s, Cream, The Beach Boys, Hendrix, not to forget Fleetwood Mac three times!

It is shortly featured also in the Maximum R&B doc, namely the part where Pete Townshend asserts tv crews never capture their live performances properly followed by a cut to the footage shot at that evening' gig - soundwise very noisy bordering on the indistinct but hey, unlike the subtitles claim, it wasn't "Finnish TV" but like the rest of it apparently done privately by amateurish means

Also he and his longhaired friends were not very welcome to Helsinki restaurants. There is actually some 8mm footage of the actual gig from his only Finnish visit on youtube, but no audio has ever been found

	4:27pm Beaky Mick: they sure did. was reading a bit in June's bio today & realized, pretty fully: the business is hell, really. it kills people. destroys others. you need one terribly tough hide to do what they've done. mainly Mick & Keith.

	♥ 4:56pm coelacanth∅: i think i had an eargasm when i first heard i'm only sleeping, when i was around 10. a few years later, after i'd started hearing all the hype about revolver being the beatles' best album i went out and got it and had to just think this? this is one of my least favorite beatles albums! ...eventually i figured out that the american release had 3 of the best songs removed and was then outweighed by some of the worst beatles songs.

	4:57pm Linda Lee: what's been really fun about hanging with June (i know i talk about this often, but she really impresses me): before she plays now, she reads from her autobiography, with personal footnotes. & she writes so beautifully, from a musician's perspective, about hearing the music when it was released, that it's really a lot of fun.

Thankfully for those who were there, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Animals etc. did visit Finland in their 60s prime. And later on during 60s, Cream, The Beach Boys, Hendrix, not to forget Fleetwood Mac three times!

There is actually some 8mm footage of the actual gig from his only Finnish visit on youtube, but no audio has ever been found
