Hi Jan, and thank you for filling in!

Mr Fab:

Yes, a playlist! Let the clicky-starring begin. "Murdering the classics" is pretty much the only way I like most old-school classical, being more of a pretentious 20th century/avant garde classical art-fart.

Mr Fab:

Don't like the sound of "family crisis," but since it's not Covid-related, maybe Jason just had trouble getting his kid to (virtual) school. Like i do sometimes, ha ha. Hope all is well with the Elbogens.

OK, here I am on the live playlist. Greets, Jan, and all.

I'm doing very well actually. This an unexpected treat for me as well. How are you?
Avatar 12:12pm
Linda Lee:

aren't they amazing! listen to these vocal lines. not a breath!
Avatar 12:13pm
Mr Fab:

Hey Sem n Linda! For years, i didn't know that Swingle was the guys' name, i thought it was some cool '60s-ism, a cross between 'swinging' and 'single.' Like: music for the 'swingle' crowd.
Avatar 12:13pm
Linda Lee:

glad you'r well! i'm fine. no complaints possible today. we're looking at about 80 degrees F here in the mountains. that's about 26 C?
Avatar 12:14pm
Linda Lee:

that's what i thought too, Mr F! how funny.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:14pm
Sem:

Me, too, Mr. Fab. Boy, is my face red.
Avatar 12:15pm
Linda Lee:

swinging singles of course! that was a thing!
Avatar 12:16pm
Linda Lee:

my entire picture of what they did after practice .. kablooey!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm
Jan Turkenburg:

:-)
Avatar 12:17pm
Mr Fab:

Ha! Well, it SHOULD have been a slang term in those days. maybe we can retroactively invent old slang. "Sheena's Jungle Room: Sounds For The Swingle Set."
Avatar 12:18pm
Linda Lee:

perfection. :-)

That link is so great, Linda. Square dances, if you ain't no square.
Avatar 12:26pm
Linda Lee:

right! no squares allowed at the square dance! swing your partner, baby!

Linda Lee:

Telstar!! :-)
Avatar 12:36pm
Linda Lee:

haven't heard Mephiskapheles in so long!! haha!
Avatar 12:38pm
Linda Lee:

no, that's the Bumble Bee brand Tuna song! :-)
Avatar 12:50pm
Mr Fab:

Mephiskapheles. Ha, from the '90s 3rd-wave ska days when all those bands had punny names with "ska" in them.
Avatar 12:52pm
Linda Lee:

that was a good one, must say
Avatar 1:02pm
Linda Lee:

how about some more PDQ Bach? Erotica Variations for Banned Instruments & Piano? 'the intimate PDQ Bach'? it's original, but very amusing. uses lots of classical cliche's.
Avatar 1:03pm
Linda Lee:

that's just a funny record. it's all good.
Avatar 1:04pm
Linda Lee:

oh man! listen to this!! love the Hal Mooney! (the Treece piece was a good palette cleanser.)
