Funny, I've been living back at my dad's since December when, as a result of a stroke, I moved in to care for him. I haven't had cable in 25 years (streaming stuff, but not cable), and I went deep last night and found Burnt Offerings which also stars Oliver Reed who plays Tommy's uncle. What really brought it home is the fact that I recall watching Burnt Offerings with my pop in the 80s because it was an adaptation of a novel his high school Latin teachers wrote.

Yes, Tommy is disturbing at times. If that got you, stay away from Burnt Offerings! Actually, it is a cool story and movie. Karen Black and Bette Davis are also in it. Oh...and Burgess Meredith!

@slug...I have yet to read the book, but I bought my pops a top of the line Kindle to attempt to rehabilitate him a bit and overcome his deficits with a mix of reading and audio-books. I am going to hook that book up in both regards. I may as well take advantage when he's not using it. He'll be stoked that I got Robert Marasco's book...his professor from St. Regis. And yes, creepy flick!
