View Uncle Michael's profile |
Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

that was the best music show ever on TV, hands down. Appoinzment viewing late on Sunday night, even though we had to work in the morning. It died too soon and nothing like Night Music ever showed up on network tv again

Oddly enough, Bob Stinson of the Replacements was a yes fan. Sort of makes sense
Wolfgang Sauerbraten:

All kidding aside, I do keep a place for this in my head. Under lock and key.
dan:
The weirdest lineup was Boz Scaggs, the recently departed Betty Wright and a Bulgarian singing trio. Boz and Betty did a great rendition of “Love Is Strange”.

What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is.
