Handy Haversack:

David, Mariano, how goes? Did you bring extra halberds?

I am about to be DONE with work for the day. It was too much.
  3:27pm
David in London:

Mariano. I had to make an emergency trip right across town today. I went on a train and everything; it was absolutely surreal. I walked past the South Bank Centre on the way to Waterloo Station, the former being a massive arts complex always swarming with people, and on the deserted forecourt loads of weeds had sprouted up through the paving. It was like walking through a post apocalyptic film.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm
Handy Haversack:

That's wild, David. I have yet to venture *anyplace*, really, farther than about ten blocks from home.

Creamo. No one is going to notice a little crackle over the righteous punk rock. Plough on ahead.

Handy. I’m pretty sure that I was the only person on the train when it left Waterloo. I’d almost forgotten how to use a ticket machine.

Wow, David, sounds eerie. Hope the emergency was resolved. I know the Waterloo area slightly because when I was spending time in the Chichester area in 2018 and '19 I took the train to Waterloo instead of Victoria a couple of times. And of course like a proper tourist I had to listen to "Waterloo Sunset" while walking across the bridge, though not at sunset.
