Julie, your drummer disco friday was the last friday of my 2 week staycation. I was doing thorough scrub and mop of the apartment wood floor. And I got the most drunk I've had since I don't remember when. All with your goth day dance party blasting. A memorable afternoon and evening that I blurily recall. Can't even remember if I was hung over the next day. I just remember dancing with the mop.

All of my favorite shows should be three hours, and that's short - the last episode of Avaruusromua (Space debris, a finnish ambient program) will be eight hours long from sunday evening to monday morning. Too bad it stops after 30 years.

I think the longest song I've ever djed at a club (it was a post rave chillout room) was Philip Glass' "Akhnaten" opera, clocking in at 3.5 hours. I enjoyed many free drinks and tokes, and didn't have to worry about beat matching or cueing the whole time!

I was at a bar near my parent's house, and they had faux news on and I ovrtheard every GOP meme from the patrons. Odd, even w/ the filth, it felt nice get a ground of the culture (or lack thereof) here outside of Jacksonville (I really need my full-time job to start soon so I can get out of here!)

When I was in HS (91-94), there was an I-beam w/ concrete (shelters b/tn buildings b/c it rains all the time) that was finger etched in, "Pink Floyd, '78!". I thought it was the coolest thing, even though I didn't get Pink Floyd until my early 20s. (the graffito is still there, I just checked it out).

Lol I love Pink Floyd after Syd Barrett, but my favorite era is mostly up to Dark side of the moon. Although “Wish you were here” was a good album, I just feel like music that’s overplayed really diminishes the quality and a lot of their greatest art is overshadowed by capitalist commercial radio that not many people who aren’t big into music know about those albums.

I got sick of Pink Floyd when people played "Money" constantly in the dorms, and wasn't crazy about The Wall, so I dismissed them. But since then I've heard a lot of their early stuff and found things I like a lot.
