Rally rally rally!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm chresti:

Hi Scott and rallying folks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm Scott McDowell:

I guess it's working ! : )
  7:02pm Jacinda:

Loud and clear!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Doug Schulkind:

Pound for pound, one of the greatest radio program openers EVAH.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm Ike:

¡Hola!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm WR:

Hi all. Scott, the other drummer streamers will tell you that I am a demanding listener and perhaps I am. This evening time slot is important to my mental health so I had some concerns regarding what we are about to hear. I've looked over several of your play lists and have this to say; as long as you ignore my ravings and spin like you've always spun all will be good with the stream. And yes, I am supposed to be finishing a report for work instead of being silly in here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm WR:

I wonder if that is Pops Staples doing that cool guitar part.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm Doug Schulkind:

@Scott
WR is harmless. Just be sure to keep your 45 adapters well away from his many tentacles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm Scott McDowell:

HAHA I am afraid I can't help you but I will try !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Aitch:

In for a listen
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm Scott McDowell:

Hi everyone, thanks for tuning in, some familiar faces.
  7:19pm CC:

I like it!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Scott. Glad to the CDC is allowing rallies again. Well, glad for this particular rally.
Avatar 7:29pm StringOFperils:

I was rallied. Prince Far I summon me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm Scott McDowell:

It happens.
Avatar 7:38pm StringOFperils:

Getting momentary stream outages
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm Scott McDowell:

I don't like to hear that!
Avatar 7:39pm StringOFperils:

eff why eye
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm Uncle Michael:

I forgot!
  7:41pm CC:

Good here in Texas... the volume to that last cut seemed a little low that's all I noticed...
  7:41pm Lore:

Enjoying this JBL ensemble, thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm Scott McDowell:

Cheers!
  7:43pm Doug Schulkind:

Everyone goes easy on Scott. He’s not used to DJing in his skivvies.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm Scott McDowell:

Uhhh yes I am
  7:53pm CC:

In my mind this tune seems to convey an overwhelming sense of urgency hopelessness desperation???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm anne:

hello everyone
Avatar 7:59pm Listener Gregory:

Just randomly turned on the stream and really enjoyed this set. I couldn't decide whether I was very familiar with the James Brandon Lewis cut or if I had never heard it before. Seeing the title, I would guess a little of both.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I hear the bed music, but no DJ. Is this expected?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01pm Scott McDowell:

What! For real? hahahah
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01pm Scott McDowell:

Just did a full mic break but you didn't hear it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01pm Uncle Michael:

I heard Scott. You people are crazy. I loved that mother-in-law joke!
Avatar 8:02pm StringOFperils:

I thought it was just hipster reticence.
Avatar 8:02pm Listener Gregory:

Didn't hear Scott at all. You guys are gaslighting us!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:02pm WR:

Yep. Just heard the dub track, no mic break.
Avatar 8:03pm StringOFperils:

This is Jesse's slot , so listening to 90 minutes of air currents is par for the course.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03pm Uncle Michael:

We now know that Scott isn't into crossfit...or a vegan.
  8:03pm CC:

Only on WFMU..!..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Same for the first break, but I wasn't sure. Wasn't paying too close attention at the first one.
  8:06pm Doug Schulkind:

Scott was giving out tomorrow’s lottery winners.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm Scott McDowell:

OMG! So funny. I fixed it. What a blunder. On my next break I'm going to back announce ALL OF IT. GET READY.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm Scott McDowell:

Can I get a do-over, Doug?
Avatar 8:07pm Listener Gregory:

I announce and comment on set lists all the time, only I don't have a show, and no one is listening. So, join the club, Scott.
  8:07pm CC:

Go ahead and tell us some stories while you're at it!!!
Avatar 8:07pm Listener Gregory:

Is this thing on???
Avatar 8:08pm StringOFperils:

Tomorrows lottery winners! Gosh darn it ! I knew when Nick through me out of Maritni's, but it wasn't Martini's, and then....I wanna live again, I wannnna live again..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08pm Scott McDowell:

Back to the future!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:09pm Scott McDowell:

Now I know why CC thought the volume was low. It was because it was a phantom bed.
Avatar 8:10pm StringOFperils:

Is that like Tutankhamen's bed?
Avatar 8:10pm Listener Gregory:

It is surprisingly difficult to get out of a bed that is too low. That has troubled many DJs over the years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm Ken From Hyde Park:

At least you're proficient at walking down simple ramps, Scott.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm Uncle Michael:

talk to me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm WR:

The Voice of Scott!
Avatar 8:12pm StringOFperils:

Fiat Vox !
Avatar 8:12pm Listener Gregory:

The wrong hole! We've all been there.
Avatar 8:13pm StringOFperils:

Baby got big back-announce.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Scott McDowell:

HOW WAS THAT? SATISFACTORY?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Scott McDowell:

FELT A LITTLE HOT.
Avatar 8:21pm Listener Gregory:

Very good announcing; you may have a future in this business.
Still getting a few brief dropouts, though.
  8:22pm CC:

Groovy jam!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm Scott McDowell:

Thanks, stream sounds good and virile from my monitoring so I'm not quite sure why you're hearing dropouts. I will keep trying to not mess up though!
Avatar 8:25pm Listener Gregory:

It's surely not you; more likely the internet somewhere.
Avatar 8:25pm StringOFperils:

I can feel some Philly driveway in this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm Uncle Michael:

Scott, I think your mic had the capslock on.
  8:27pm CC:

Always make sure to refresh just to be safe!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm Scott McDowell:

Haha, yeah caps lock and also Audio Hijacked to the wrong square. Rookie move.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm chresti:

Loved the bed music.
  8:37pm Doug Schulkind:

Scott, is the computer running Audio Hijack connected to your router by ethernet cable or via Wifi?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm Scott McDowell:

ethernet
  8:38pm CC:

I think those dropouts happen from the main station communications satellite or something???
  8:39pm Doug Schulkind:

Gooood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39pm Scott McDowell:

I am listening to the stream on the app in one ear and it seems good to me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm anne:

yessss
  8:44pm CC:

The skeleton crew should be able to pick up on those unless they're taking a break or something???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm chresti:

Sounds good..
Avatar 8:51pm Listener Gregory:

"Someone named Dave" should appear as a credit on every album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Scott and all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53pm Scott McDowell:

Greetings!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53pm Scott McDowell:

You showed up for the good part!
Avatar 8:54pm StringOFperils:

But the first part had lots of fibre.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm Scott McDowell:

Yeah maybe that was the good part.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm coelacanth∅:

you mean good part,part 3?!
...thought i'd catch the show from the wonderful hipnosis but ended up working.
which is good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56pm WR:

I just realized that we are experiencing The Long Rally and then The Long Way Home. I wonder how much pondering that will help me avoid work. PS: the most important part of this streamcast is the music, no user errors there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm coelacanth∅:

there's much pondering to do. better not disturb the pondering with any more work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00pm chresti:

I love this Sun City Girls.
Avatar 9:01pm Someone Named Dave:

I am proud of my contribution to this album. Also all the others you have played so far.
  9:01pm CC:

Good smokin' music!!!
Avatar 9:02pm StringOFperils:

The ubiquity of Dave in album credits has me locked inside the Ponder Room.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04pm Scott McDowell:

Thanks Dave for all your work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04pm chresti:

I am a frequent guest of the Ponder Room.
Avatar 9:07pm TDK60:

Hello.
  9:07pm CC:

I suppose it all gets down to peace and love rather than war and hate......caring and sharing as opposed to selfishness and denial...etc
Avatar 9:22pm TDK60:

No! Don't tell me I'm at the wrong rally!! That would be nightmarish.
  9:24pm CC:

Like John said.. you get what you project!!!
Avatar 9:24pm TDK60:

He woulda been involved in one way or another. His widow is, I think.
Avatar 9:25pm Listener Gregory:

That triple “Satwa” is the most Satwa I have ever had.
  9:25pm CC:

The long and Winding Road!!!
  9:30pm CC:

Emotions at battle!!!
  9:33pm CC:

Some notion set to motion..!..the explosion of a spark!!!!
Avatar 9:35pm TDK60:

I think such Mauritanian music was one influence on the Horse Lords.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37pm Scott McDowell:

I can see that for sure.
  9:39pm CC:

I think it's a lot of fun watching a personI having a great time playing the piano!!!
Avatar 9:41pm StringOFperils:

It ain't the bleat, it's the lotion.
Avatar 9:42pm Listener Gregory:

Jaki Byard???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43pm Scott McDowell:

Hell YES!
Avatar 9:46pm Listener Gregory:

He didn’t record enough... or I haven’t come across his recordings enough.
Avatar 9:47pm Listener Gregory:

This Tony Williams sounds so close to the Gil Evans version. I wonder if they collaborated on it.
  9:49pm CC:

Gil Evans collaborated with the best!!!
  9:53pm CC:

Like this cut you bring things up to a certain busyness and then you mellow out!!!
Avatar 9:56pm TDK60:

Good night, thanks. ->Freedom->
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm Scott McDowell:

Thanks, all!
  9:57pm CC:

Cheer ya'll... great show Scott!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm Uncle Michael:

Thanks, Scott.
Avatar 9:58pm Listener Gregory:

Thanks, Scott. In the end, we heard you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Scott! always great to hear you
(wish you had a spot on a wfmu schedule)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm WR:
