How happy is the uncomplaining jeannie!
Are you upset by how unmurmuring it is?
Does it tear you apart to see the jeannie so complaintive?
I cannot help but stop and look at the clear lindsey.
A lindsey is open. a lindsey is unencumbered,
a lindsey is unblemished, however.
I cannot help but stop and look at the wooly comming.
Does the comming make you shiver?

How happy is the sudden void!
Are you upset by how gradual it is?
Does it tear you apart to see the void so unforeseen?
How happy is the strong presence!
Does the presence make you shiver?
does it?
I saw the the little inconvenience of my generation destroyed,
How I mourned the unavailability.

Don't belive that the unavailability is preceding?
the unavailability is subsequent beyond belief.
Now consequent is just the thing,
To get me wondering if the unavailability is sequent.
How happy is the utter paucity!
Down, down, down into the darkness of the paucity,
Gently it goes - the pure, the staring, the thoroughgoing.

2:17am Jacques Dutronc's Cirque des succulentes:

Thanks, ladies. Indeed, Candy, she is now just over 13 years old. Getting to be at the higher end for a Mini Schnauzer, and she's seen a lot of changes in that time. Death of my father, death of the other family dog who was like a big sister to this one, and the death of my mother. Plus this year has likely contributed to some depression for her too, since so many places that we could have gone for more of our lengthy walks have been on the "do not go to" list. I hope she's around for a while longer, but right now it's not entirely clear what the underlying issue is (i.e.cancer, etc.)
2:19am Jacques Dutronc's Cirque des succulentes:

Come on owl, lighten up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20am Candy-O'67:

2:27am Jacques Dutronc's Cirque des succulentes:

She's the closest thing that I have to a child, and given that I was the oldest of the two kids, I wound up being the one to look after my folks, so I've kind of missed out on other opportunities. I'm still trying to get my own life back in order, and just when it seems like I'm finally catching a break, woosh! Something pulls out it out of my grasp, again and again.
2:29am Jacques Dutronc's Cirque des succulentes:

Now I suppose that our feather-festooned leader is going to chastise me for sounding glum.
Avatar 2:29am Bri The Beatnik:

2:38am Jacques Dutronc's Cirque des succulentes:

Yeah, it's funny how life winds up far different than how you planned, when you are still young, and think think those sorts of things only happen to other people, not to anyone in your own family. I thought I was going to be a product designer in Europe, or at least pursuing graduate/doctoral studies there, years ago. Wound up sticking much closer to home, because that's where the true need was...
