George Walker resided in Montclair for much of his life. He played here but I didn't hear him. Sad about that.

When I was making black eyed peas for breakfast I kept a few and sprouted them in a container on my balcony, and they’re growing enthusiastically. I have no idea if they can be healthy here but they seem happy so far,

No plants but a beautiful kitty who eats plants. Rather have the kitty. Used to have plants of all kinds and grew many different herbs along hidden byways and roads.

I have an 18 year old bonsai that listens to wfmu as consistently as I do and she's the picture of health

Hi Bethany! Loving the show! I am working on something for people getting into plants to have better success when starting out. Check it out at checkpots.com. I am also rocking my wfmu shirt on there!!! Sorry not trying to spam but would love to hear what you think!

oh bummer -- missed the story of the plants!
will catch up on the archives :)
was on the fire escape, watering the plants and flowers -- herbs, bee and butterfly and hummingbird and "beneficial insect" attracting flowers, and of course, CATNIP for the kitties here :)
(TOTALLY understand, Deborah! i am so *jealous* of friends who are able to grow stuff indoors, without the kitties devouring everything!)

@Deborah - Did you get to hear George Walker's "Lyric for Strings" by the Montclair Symphony in March 2019? His son introduced the concert.

@slugluv1313: I agree. Love the plants so much but so many are poisons to cats.

@Deborah - It was performed at Central Presbyterian, which has been used as a recording studio (Diane Moser recorded her album 'Birdsongs' there).
