Hey, JJJ! That Queens protest last week was a really good one. Great young leaders from BLM who spoke powerfully of their experiences and the movement. We marched back toward the Pulaski and then to the precinct off Vernon Blvd. Then to the Gantry Park for sharing -- and a Sikh-owned restaurant donated meals to everyone! Very, very good day, though hot as blazes on the Queens streets.

Mercedes McCambridge was the best. In the early 1970s she was one of the stars of CBS Radio Mystery Theater. A throwback to the golden age, I used to tune in the transistor under my pillow after lights out.
