	10:57pm Kris Holmes: We went & got some steaks & I grilled up an Argentinean Asado dinner but while at the store also grabbed some real nice plums.

	10:57pm Matt from New Orleans: Those are good too. I remember going to Knott’s Berry Farm as a kid in the mid 80s and eating so many things involving boysenberries.

	10:59pm Kris Holmes: I remember going to Knotts Berry Farm as a kid & feeling so sick after Montezuma's Revenge or whatever the huge roller coaster was called!
	11:01pm Matt from New Orleans: No I have cousins that lived in LA and we used to visit most Christmas breaks in the 80s.
	11:01pm Kris Holmes: But I also remember the berries!!! The little jars of jam!

	11:04pm Matt from New Orleans: That’s another place I visited in the 90s twice and said I’d never go back. But now I actually like Houston. It’s much more cosmopolitan than it was.
	11:08pm Matt from New Orleans: It was called The Corkscrew. It’s gone now. That shit was too much for me. I went on once and that was enough for me. I like old school roller coasters with drops. I don’t like going upside down.

	🥁 11:10pm Candy-O'67: It has blossomed some since then. I grew up on the south side burbs, Seabrook area, and moved to the Montrose the last 8 years I was there. It was a lot of fun in that area back in the '90's. It was very artsy and funky then, all the cool clubs around that area. I left in '99.
	11:10pm Kris Holmes: Oh DUDE, the Corkscrew, that's it, terrifying aged 11!!!!
	11:10pm Franco Twinkie: I remember going to Knotts Berry Farm as a young adult and getting stoned in the parking lot and heading straight to Camp Snoopy to jump around in a cage full of balls to the horror of all the parents with there little kids waiting in line.

	11:12pm Franco Twinkie: Our go to place for the vomit experience on the way home was The Pike in Long Beach.
	🥁 11:12pm Candy-O'67: I miss SoCal, too, sometimes. I mostly miss my friends. I usually go back a couple of times a year on a working trip, but not since Covid. Don't know when I'll be going back for that now.
	11:13pm still b/p: When boysenberry came up in a conversation recently, I took the opportunity to introduce someone to Punky's Dilemma.
	11:13pm Matt from New Orleans: Normally I have my summer coping strategies but they’re all superfluous this year. Being in my apartment in the late afternoon blows.
	🥁 11:13pm WR: The Wikipedia page for boysenberry is interesting. It ends: As of 2016, New Zealand was the world's largest producer and exporter of boysenberries.
	11:13pm Franco Twinkie: Where did you live in Cali Candy?
	🥁 11:13pm Candy-O'67: Ah, the old Pike in LBC. I lived in LBC 7 years, Franco. The Pike was already gone by the time I moved there, though. I still visit Long Beach a lot. Most of my closest friends out there live there.
	11:14pm Kris Holmes: I love LBC, this time last year I was DJing there
	🥁 11:14pm Candy-O'67: I lived in Costa Mesa, too, for 7 1/2 years. Just moved down there to be closer to the salon/spas I worked in in Rancho Santa Margarita and Newport B.
	🥁 11:15pm Candy-O'67: I love Long Beach, too. I spent a lot of time in LA going to tons of shows, too. Lots of friends up in LA also.

	11:25pm Franco Twinkie: This was probably before your time Candy, but there was the old Fox Theater in long Beach on Ocean Ave would have great shows. I saw the Flying Brothers and The New Riders with a fantastic light show called Photon Drive behind them. I was sixteen and it was the first time I ever smoked hash.
	11:27pm Matt from New Orleans: Bobby recorded it first. Dave Bartholomew wrote it with Roy Hayes and somehow Fats got a piece of the writing when he recorded it two years later.
	🥁 11:29pm Candy-O'67: Yep, I think that place was gone by the time I arrived. I moved there in Sept. of '99. I used to live on Cherry Ave. one block from Ocean for a while. That sounds like an amazing show!
	🥁 11:30pm Candy-O'67: I used to love to go to the Foothill when I first moved there. It closed within the first couple years of me moving there.

	11:32pm Franco Twinkie: Big reveal Kris, when I first met Chresti, she lived at the top of Echo Park Ave. One hot summer afternoon I went to her house and we got real high in her back yard, then drove down to the lake to sit on the grass. She didn't talk and I just stared at her. Now we argue about pizza!

	11:35pm Kris Holmes: Aww, we walked there & sat on a bench by the lake. I was staying at Ridge Way, just a few blocks from the lake & Echo Park Ave
	11:36pm Matt from New Orleans: I’ve always been fascinated Franco by the locked in neighborhood across the 5 from there.
	11:36pm Franco Twinkie: Candy, remember The Pioneer? I think it was on Fourth Street - a log cabin kind of place.

	🥁 11:38pm Candy-O'67: I've had friends that have lived in Echo Park and Silver Lake, Glassell Park, Eagle Rock - that whole area of L.A. Spent a lot of time up there. One of my best friends still lives in Silverlake...barely. All the developers are trying to push them out of their compound, they call it. They've been fighting them in court for a while. They've still been able to stay due to Covid.
	11:38pm chresti: I worked in Lakewood in 84, after work I'd go to Belmont Shore area to pick up coffee.

	🥁 11:40pm Candy-O'67: Nice, chresti! I used to ride my beach cruiser all up and down LB by the beach, from Belmont Shore to DT. Used to go out to eat a lot down in the Shore, too.

	🥁 11:43pm WR: Interesting, to look at the chart performance of Aretha's and Covay's releases of see saw. Aretha: #9 R&B, #14 Pop. Covay #5 R&B, #44 Pop. Like a see saw.
	11:44pm Franco Twinkie: Yes, The Prospector! A friend of ours who lived on Junipero would play there. Which was nice, I could go to the show, drink, walk back to his house and crash on the couch, then drive back to Pasadena in the morning.

	🥁 11:10pm Candy-O'67: It has blossomed some since then. I grew up on the south side burbs, Seabrook area, and moved to the Montrose the last 8 years I was there. It was a lot of fun in that area back in the '90's. It was very artsy and funky then, all the cool clubs around that area. I left in '99.

They've still been able to stay due to Covid.
