My son's 22 yr old girlfriend listens to classic rock, and I told her I pretty much abhor it (while I was playing The Clash on the CD player). I had to explain to her about there being older music that is worth listening to because it is good, not just because it was old (looking at you, Mellencamp and Seger). Clash = Good, Dave Mathews Band = Lower GI Distress

Speaking of which, while I tend to dislike rock biopics, Sam Riley and Samantha Morton offer the viewer some excellent performances in Corbijn's Control. Has been a while I have seen it though.

	1:45pm Mark R: Iggy said one of his favorite concerts was seeing the Doors at the University of Michigan when "Light My Fire" had just come out, and all these frat bros showed up hoping to hear it, and instead, Jim Morrison came out singing in this Betty Boop voice, mocking them, and the concert was "over" after about a half an hour. Then, after all the morons had cleared out leaving only the freaks, the band came back out and played their regular set.

I had to explain to her about there being older music that is worth listening to because it is good, not just because it was old (looking at you, Mellencamp and Seger). Then, after all the morons had cleared out leaving only the freaks, the band came back out and played their regular set.
