I just remember that for some reason there was a lot of free scotch “backstage” at McCarren Pool. It was abt 98 deg and I had a long rambling & hilarious conversation w Roy Head over that warm scotch. We got pretty loose. He said “they (the Stomp) keep trying to get me to play that psych-o-delic bullshit.” Haha. Tami was a dynamo onstage—this remains my favorite version of “Mojo Hannah.”
