Rich, we hope you don't mind. The topic this week is preferred methods of corpse disposal.

either way, thanks for the music!

I propose the distillation of an all purpose sauce that can fuel rockets, get out the toughest stains, straighten unruly hair and freshen stale bread. Okay, I thought it up, someone else figure out the science involved.

@ Franco -- ahhh but can it get the cats to help with the housework?! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13am
mariano:

See, that's what I'd like: to let my elements rejoin the earth they came from. Never understood embalming someone, putting them in a suit, then sticking them in the ground in an expensive box. Second choice: a viking funeral complete with flaming longboat.

hello mariano roberto spodiodi coel carmichael chresti slugluv franco daupomatic and you. i do like the idea of my body being staked out on the roof of wfmu while the pigeons slowly peck away at the carcass. a little mic setup with a bit of reverb tucked inside the corpse would be nice. i would like the live recording to be streamed until there's only the bones left.

I went to the store, and there were 5 kittens, about four weeks old chilling in the street, w/ no fear of my car. Missed them, then an armadillo darted in front of me. When I got back home, yet a different cat was relaxing in the hedge row. (There's a feral cat problem here)>

slugluv1313:

@ mariano -- right?
when my Dad passed away, legally my Mom was the Executor -- but she was so "out of it" (i guess trauma of the sudden change? she and my Dad were hardly "best pals" but they were married almost 50 years) that i ended up doing a lot, and she would sign whatever needed to be signed -- going to the funeral home, picking out a casket -- what a RACKET! (like weddings, my guess is that they get you to spend WAY too much money because you are so emotionally "high")
we ended up picking out a somewhat simple, practical casket, nothing fancy, not too pricey -- unlike the SUPER-expensive casket that was recommended! (and being that my Dad was a Virgo accountant, i could TOTALLY see him rising up from the dead and slapping me upside the head if i "threw away all that money"!)

slugluv saw that show also. live shows are slowly returning in europe. denmark has had socially distanced classical performances. england is planning on socially distanced outdoor shows. there was something going on in pennsylvania this weekend with a limited number of people, electronic music, yoga, and marshmallows. the small intimate shows are going to take awhile however. though since there was that thing about smokers being protected from covid awhile back maybe they can let the small places have smoking to protect the customers, like going to a jazz club 20 years ago (i do kind of miss the smoke when i see certain bands; not the smell but the view)
