Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm

Yes dreaming is a good thing. No word yet on closures, spodi. Being outside means we'll be the last to close down, I'm guessing. LA has nixxed the indoor bars and dining re-opening.

Live radio, but with backup! If that doesn't strike you as irrefutable evidence of "intelligent design," you are a Godless heathen scoundrel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13pm

They let construction continue while folks are stuck at home, how's that supposed to work?
Avatar 1:13pm
spodiodi:

gone are the gleeful screams of tourists flying down a hill toward the bay, for now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm
chresti:

That's got to be good, right?
Avatar 1:15pm
spodiodi:

miserably, chresti: the cable cars are a racket: the cable cars have been stopped for months, but it looks like most of the employees are still showing up, all hours of the night (making more of a racket than while things were operational.)
Avatar 1:16pm
spodiodi:

i guess the screaming hill tourists are preferable to the jack hammers and clubhouse-style shouting all hours

@chresti: my neighbor works in construction, he told me the lockdown lasted a couple of days for him, then he was back to work (it lasted two months here)

@chresti, exactly. why are offices being built for people who may continue to work remotely??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm

My daughter was going to spend her junior year fall semester in Paris. That's been scuttled.

Heya, spodi!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm

@Doug: waiting sounds reasonable. Bars are crowded over here, with fewer people wearing masks (the young and elderly most reluctant), so we're headed for another spike

Glad I hung around for all of your show, Jason. Thx for the spins. Later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm

@Doug: Wow, Sciences Po is a top-shelf elite school. Sorbonne is so sprawling it doesn't mean much anymore (even I technically work for them)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm
Jason Sigal:

thanks for persisting, and chatting!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm
Doug Schulkind:

@fred
Her program was at Sciences Po. The class or two at Sorbonne was, I think, to give the students authentic French experience. (Or, more likely, the students' American parents would feel it was more authentic.)
