"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

i've used both beer and vinegar traps with okay results; but the most effective way is to just not have the things they like out at room temperature if they're already ripe. the fruit flies wont be there with the bananas until the fruit is ready to eat anyway.

Yes, fruit flies signal that your bananas are *almost* ready to be banana bread.

Still have not made it down to Windsor Terrace for kimchi, by the way. Local sources continue to be priced absurdly.
  11:08am
diana:

i mixed vinegar, dish soap, and splenda into a syrupy punch. splenda kills just about anything and i had some of those small packages. used a shallow jar lid to create a miniature pool of death. lots of floaters.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08am
coelacanth∅:

tomatoes are trickier because they may have juice fermenting on them from other tomatoes, or fermenting juice around the stem before they're ripe.
if they're kept dry they should be okay. also could be kept in a sealed paper bag so the flies can't get in. just check them often for they'll ripen faster, and reseal every time.
