And, honestly, I have given other time I might have been reading to FMU. I am barely keeping up with my (TTRPG) gaming reading and have an honest backlog of books right now. And the new issue of Salvage is out, which I strongly recommend to listeners of this show. Socialist politics and culture journal out of London; China Mieville and Richard Seymour are founding editors.

Also - since the only way past it is thru it - if people don't join masks & distancing they're prolonging the whole thing for everyone & throwing all our sacrifices & hardships in the dumpster. Also - we won't just reopen & be the same. Businesses are already going under. 1/3rd of the USA didn't make home payments or rent this month. We need to shut down - wear masks - & give people payments to get thru. The rest is bullish*t.

	6:29pm Roland, from the Sunshine Coast: I enjoy Novella’s immensely, and although ancient I’d recommend True Grit by Charles Portis and The Machine Stops by E M Forster, I certainly did. Check out “The Body” by Stephen King.

	6:29pm ultradamno: Well, King has three super big ones, that I think are his worst. I like Carrie the best and there's a great short story called The Cat From Hell. His short stories are his best work, he need to be kept focused in my opinion.

	6:35pm ultradamno: To get us away from Dahl (hopefully) may I recommend Neil Gaiman. I like The Ocean At The End Of The Lane a lot. Also, Denton Welch is a great, underappreciated writer, try In Youth Is Pleasure. An influence on WS Burroughs, but you wouldn't guess it.
	6:37pm WR: Interesting show. I have been working from home since spring of 2018. Before the pandemic besides required shopping I only went out once or twice a week to a restaurant and nearly every week to the library. Now that the library is re-opening for pickup my routine is nearly back except we did used to go to live music a few times a year. I've not had any slowdown in my work hours. My wife (who has been working from home since the lock down) has complained that I'm near addicted to WFMU playlist comments and reacts if I go to my phone during meals or if we are talking.
	6:37pm dave miss: Two books I enjoyed, that are non-fiction, are High on the Hog by Jessica Harris about the culinary connection between Africa and America, and She Has Her Mother's Laugh by Carl Zimmer about Heredity

	6:38pm ultradamno: In terms of graphic novels, how available are Raw Graphics Magazine stuff these days. Mindblowing. R. Crumb has really good Kafka book.
	🤖 6:38pm Webhamster Henry: I keep going back to Italo Calvino, Angela Carter, and also read plays in "Best of 19xx" anthologies.
	🤖 6:38pm Handy Haversack: Running out of food is a classic D&D scenario. I have read (and used) some great tables on what happens when you end up eating what you kill deep in the weird lands. And I have had to come up with a lot of rulings on the fly for this stuff. But I had not heard of that, Mark -- and it's going on the list!

	6:37pm WR: Interesting show. I have been working from home since spring of 2018. Before the pandemic besides required shopping I only went out once or twice a week to a restaurant and nearly every week to the library. Now that the library is re-opening for pickup my routine is nearly back except we did used to go to live music a few times a year. I've not had any slowdown in my work hours. My wife (who has been working from home since the lock down) has complained that I'm near addicted to WFMU playlist comments and reacts if I go to my phone during meals or if we are talking.
	6:37pm dave miss: Two books I enjoyed, that are non-fiction, are High on the Hog by Jessica Harris about the culinary connection between Africa and America, and She Has Her Mother's Laugh by Carl Zimmer about Heredity
