Great set I was telling my wife about the time that we play to sit together at the wreck room in Brooklyn and you played decide to 19 and you said it’s all about the B-side but I’m still not clear on whether you meant the remix to 19 or the track that’s called it’s weird

BLT: You sound too young to know Bill from Be Bop Deluxe. BTW, great mix into Gescom.

Agreed about Bill Nelson. At least his obscurity means it's still possible to find his weirdo self-released instrumental albums from the early/mid-80s.

Please, please explore Be Bop DeLuxe, during your Bill Nelson travels. Axe Victim, Futurama, Sunburst Finish and Modern Music are four of the finest rock albums ever recorded. No hyperbole. As stellar as Bill's solo material is, Be Bop DeLuxe is in another realm.

Frank's Brain:

@BLT. Bill Nelson WAS Be Bop Deluxe. And he was also Red Noise. That band marked the transition from his solo guitar work in Be Bop (truly a master) to more of a chord-based songwriting structure. Only ne Red Noise album, unfortunately. Bill's one of the most prolific and underrated musicians of the 20th century. He's still out there making music. Thanx for highlighting his work. Great show!
