Once, though, Smith had recently returned from a tour in the UK before playing at the Hollywood club where I heard him. He was under the weather and in a bad mood. We were seated at a table at center stage, just below Smith. Two drink minimum. When the server delivered my second martini, Smith advised me to slow down with the booze.

	12:06pm P-90: Wow! I’m a bit surprised that Disney hasn’t yanked that “Three Little Pigs” down off YouTube yet. It really is a classic, it was a huge success and helped propel Disney’s move into animated feature-length movies, and the song “Who’s Afraid of the Big.Bad Wolf” was one of the big hits of that year.

	12:20pm DG: "Cry for a Shadow" is the ONLY John & George composition. It's an homage to the Shadows, which is maybe why it doesn't sound much like George's later style (I always thought that too).

They didn't have the guitars or amps they world get famous with yet - maybe John has a Rickenbacher... & in Hamburg they were leather wearing speedfreaks entertaining pimps & such all night long! Also meant though they had to play any kind of anything they could - which would serve them well later...

But I do think in Hamburg when all of them were playing non-stop, George may have been a better soloist than we hear on the 63-65 Beatles tracks because they stretched out more than they could on a 2 and a half minute pop song

	12:06pm P-90: Wow! I’m a bit surprised that Disney hasn’t yanked that “Three Little Pigs” down off YouTube yet. It really is a classic, it was a huge success and helped propel Disney’s move into animated feature-length movies, and the song “Who’s Afraid of the Big.Bad Wolf” was one of the big hits of that year.
