Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01pm Scott Williams:

@jj, 10 seconds between you & studio a; 20 more seconds from here to the FM signal - streams is a question mark. Love to hear you attempt a Sitting In A Room remake!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm Aitch:

Big bro bought Funhouse when it was still new. I was about 10 the first time I played it. It changed my brain.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05pm jj.:

i did a live version of "sitting in a room" many years ago, when i was the 3-6 slot. due to try again! wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm Fuzzy:

Doesn't sound like Mo on drums.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm jj.:

good ear. it's billy yule.
Avatar 10:11pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Mo not into cymbals right ?
Thx for Stooges! Much like the studio - though I didn't hear much Bass...
Avatar 10:14pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yule on drums - ably I thot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm jj.:

i think the lack of bass is probably a function of the recording. but yeah, summer '70, mo was on maternity leave for the last few months of lou's tenure. they were playing max's while recording loaded during the day with billy yule on drums.
Avatar 10:16pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yes & oh yeah I remember reading that somewhere.
Avatar 10:17pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Goose Lake some big legendary Festival I gather? Regular venue?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm jj.:

definitely not a regular venue. en.wikipedia.org...

Avatar 10:21pm javakid:

"The backstage area had a tent where 20 to 30 groupies described as "sizzlers" were available for the performers" -- sounds like a redskins game, almost.
Avatar 10:22pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Minor controversy of the release date of Funhouse. Everyone noting the Half Century in July - but it was delayed til 18th Aug. So Goose Lake right in there !
  10:32pm Carmichael:

Heya Jesse and you guys out there, and over there. And you two in the back,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39pm mariano:

Carmichael: you just reminded me of a line from a Zappa song: "They took a whole bunch of acid, so they can see where it's at (it's over there and over there and over there... and under here also)."
Avatar 10:45pm slugluv1313:

reading about Goose Lake -- YOW!
Dave Alexander got kicked outta The Stooges after his performance there, he was so out of it (apparently they were all on a macrobiotic diet, drug and alcohol free -- and Dave unfortunately decided to drink and smoke hash)
AND a young woman was gang raped by a buncha bikers -- ugh
Avatar 10:49pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

This is way kewl.
Avatar 10:50pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
