Scratchy vanity 45s, pilfered field recordings, muddy off-the-radio sounds, homemade congregational tapes and vintage commercial gospel throw-downs; a little preachin', a little salvation, a little audio tomfoolery.

That one poster with the text reminds me of a scene in "Serial Mom" when they're at church and the sermon is titled "Capital Punishment and You." Priest says "Jesus said nothing to condemn capital punishment as he hung on the cross. Now if ever there was a time to go on record... So what are we waiting for, Marylanders? Let's just do it!"

REv huston crayton:

Thanks Sinner for mentioning my name. I was doing my sermon when you mentioned me. Wow! I was moved by Clarence Fountain and the Blind Boys. I love Clarences falsetto and the chords of their unique guitar player. Professional sound back then. I had a chance to play keyboard in Boston for Clarence when he was going solo. Ernest Frazier drove Clarence's Blue Convertible Buick 225. around 1968. Fruits of a blind man's labor.
  10:47am
REv huston crayton:

The Late Ernest Frazier was the lead singer of a local group from Boston called the Sons of David. They recorded a lot with Frazier on lead. We did a lot of programs together ( Crayton Singers} I always aspired to be a road group like the Hightower Brothers.
