Artist Track Album Label Year Comments New Approx. start time
Erik Hall  Section I   Favoriting Music For 18 Musicians (by Steve Reich)  Western Vinyl  2020  Michigan artist / Raised in Chicago, Hall attended the University of Michigan and discovered the piece while driving in a blizzard from Toronto to Ann Arbor, with a CD (on loan from his school's library) playing in the car. A love affair with the music began. It wasn't until years later after he set up a recording studio in his Southwest Michigan home that the idea of recreating the piece started to take shape. The original instrumentation consists of violin, cello, female voice, piano, maracas, marimba, xylophone, metallophone, clarinet, and bass clarinet. By playing all the instruments himself, Hall simplified the process by sticking to electric guitar, prepared piano, and Moog synthesizer (with room mics capturing the air around each device), recording one layer at a time during February 2019.  *   0:00:00 (Pop-up)

Hi Nulsh! Hi Pablexa, thank you for asking, it is a veeery slow process but can only heal by itself. Doc now recommended strict rice diet for a couple of days to flush out the troll germs from my body: Rice and salt and black tea and nothing! else... Yeih, 'exciting'. My body and soul have been feeling weak for weeks, my poor brain as well since my 'second brain' (did you know this?), the gut situation, turned me into an unmotivated lump, inside me, outside me, a mess. BUT finally today I have started to change the pattern: worked out a bit, meditated a bit, rice and tea a bit *chomp chomp*, now trying to focus on my tidying up, starting with my work room. THANK YOU, Carol, so much for helping my change of mindset with your music, always, taking me to the next level. I am inhaling it whilst focusing. Really Lisa, how is your eye situation?
Avatar 6:31am

Hi Sylvia :) No, just got started yesterday, brought first few things when I handed over my deposit $ in exchange for keys. I’ll do smaller car loads I can handle myself through the next few weeks after work and wknds); 29 August will be friends with pickup trucks to get the heavy stuff.

@Heidee Rice diet can be helpful, at times. Yes, stomach is the second brain. The mind-gut connection makes sense. Glad your qi (energy) is flowing and that blockages are dissipating.

Thanks for asking about my eye. It’s something I have to be hyper aware of, to let the doctor know if the light flashes made a sudden increase I was instructed to call, as that could mean the retinal tear versus *just the vitreous. So it’s got me worried about being overly cautious, or perhaps ignoring a clear sign. The symptoms came on suddenly in the first place. So can’t help wondering if the flashes I see are worse or maybe I am too focused on them :-/

Hi listener phillip. My longest coach ride was from London to Athens - 72 hours plus 6 for a breakdown. Two drivers and stopping for a break every four hours, day and night, all for $25 (1978). It was an unlicenced version of the the famous Magic Bus, which cost twice as much. My drivers made up the difference by smuggling coffee and jeans into Yugoslavia!
