Like now on an iPod say you can play stuff the pitch @ 2X the speed. One reason to change speed might be to fit the time of a format or medium...Robert Johnson had no electronic tuner but the pitch of his guitar would be one metric...maybe. I think he was cut straight to disc? - no tape - altho a microphone - Texas hotel room 1936-7...

Like now on an iPod say you can play stuff the pitch @ 2X the speed. One reason to change speed might be to fit the time of a format or medium...Robert Johnson had no electronic tuner but the pitch of his guitar would be one metric...maybe. I think he was cut straight to disc? - no tape - altho a microphone - Texas hotel room 1936-7...
