I think boogie-woogie is the most fun thing to play on the piano - is there anything more fun than this??
Avatar 12:18pm
Ursula1000:

seems like every maker has their version of this kinda car---this was roomier than say the Mazda. we were sold by the name of the color-obsidian pearl blue---aesthetics! haha

I think all cars are similar now because of safety standards it made everyone make similar cards - no more crazy muscle cars
  12:21pm
Martinibomb:

Can I request .. Lennie Tristano he never gets enough play
Avatar 12:21pm
Mr Fab:

Ah, so I didn’t miss all of “Sounds Under 64.” Don’t confuse me this early in the morn! But anyway. Sounds lovely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm
fred:

And still no flying cars. Might be a good thing though with all the distracted texting drivers. I'm busy enough watching when crossing a street, I'd rather not have to worry about what's going up above me

Pantherman - You Are My Friend?
  12:24pm
Martinibomb:

Helicopters are flying cars, in my opinion, they meet all the requirements. I have to say I HATE drones every time one flys over me it sends a shiver up my spine
  12:25pm
Martinibomb:

I think it's because drones sound like bugs or something I feel like I'm getting buzzed by a hornet? Not a good feeling
Avatar 12:25pm
Mr Fab:

I request marimbas. Or xylophones.

Martinibomb:

oooh you picked my absolute fave Tristano
  12:29pm
Martinibomb:

I just love how this track works.. I think the fingers in his left are playing different time signatures so it gives it that out of sync feeling
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 12:31pm
Jan Turkenburg:

it's amazing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm
chresti:

Yeah
  12:31pm
Martinibomb:

there's a live youtube with him in copenhagen in the 60s. he didn't perform much so it's rare to have that. He mostly taught
  12:33pm
Martinibomb:

Tristano was also the first to record an improvised jazz session
  12:34pm
Martinibomb:

and he got ahold of a multitrack in the early/mid 50s and was a bit ahead of his time on that doing edits of his work etc... things you can't play
Avatar 12:34pm
Mr Fab:

Wonderful. thanks Jan, you da man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm
fred:

@Mr Fab: Kuniko Kato was supposed to play here in October, but it looks like the show is canceled. (And she would have played Reich's Drumming)
Avatar 12:40pm
Mr Fab:

@fred: Bummer! I would imagine “Drumming” live would be pretty amazing on any instruments
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
fred:

@Mr Fab: I have a ticket to see Ictus perform it again in November, as the soundtrack to a dance show by my favorite company. And, yes, Drumming live is amazing
Avatar 12:43pm
Mr Fab:

Yodeling? AND xylophones?! Life couldn’t get any better if Jayne Mansfield sat in my lap.
Avatar 12:47pm
Mr Fab:

(especially considering what she looks like now SORRY)
