Well, Perkele it is. Kiitos for Divine Grace and the other tunes. I am kinda new to WFMU. But slowly finding the shows I like. It's fun to listen even if there is a 7 hour time difference. Great show man

Fiacha:

I believe it was the moon of January when I started my military service (which is still mandatory in Finland) back in 1992. I hated it, it was like the boy scouts but with real guns. If there ever is a war my only duty will be to be a mine sweeper. On the other had my younger brother who is 10 years younger loved it and graduated as a sergeant. This song is killing it
Avatar 4:02am
Bill Zebub:

I would not be a good soldier, ha ha.
Avatar 4:04am
dan in wisconsin:

It'd be pretty deece if Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance teamed up with the original lineup of Pentagram for some epic sounding metal. What I'd like to know is this: Are there any bands that have the riffs of Bathory combined with the voice power of an Elizabeth Fraser?
Avatar 4:06am
Bill Zebub:

Dan, Sinister Dexter is well-acquainted with those genres. Perhaps he can offer a suggestion.

Is Sleep still an active band?
Avatar 4:13am

Elizabeth Fraser has no equal dan , i am not familier with Bathory
Avatar 4:14am
Bill Zebub:

I prefer Showery to Bathory
Avatar 4:15am
dan in wisconsin:

Sleep is in indefinite hiatus, apparently. The Sciences (2018) album was pretty good.
Avatar 4:17am
Fiacha:

WTF is this?
  4:18am
Diezel Tea:

This track reminds me of QXTs, hehe.
Avatar 4:19am
Bill Zebub:

It is a remix. The original version is something that you might love.
Avatar 4:20am
Bill Zebub:

This show is strange.
Avatar 4:21am
dan in wisconsin:

Elizabeth Bathory, Hungarian aristocrat, was one insane, depraved, and tetched individual, which the band Bathory named themselves after. Ghost wrote a song about her too. Most murders committed by a woman. Wholesome stuff, yeah.
Avatar 4:21am
Bill Zebub:

Fiacha - UNHOLY is Finnish.
Avatar 4:28am
dan in wisconsin:

Bill Zebub, your Professor Dum Dum show is legendary. I miss Dum Dum and also Mr William Berger's Castle of Quiet. I can remember listening on nights when you'd get all kinds of threats when requesting listener poems. Did Ken put a stop to your show in fear of you ending up like Eric Bogosian in Talk Radio?
Avatar 4:32am
Bill Zebub:

Ken supports Professor Dumdum's lab. The Covid situation makes on-air calls problematic, as does my current situation.
Avatar 4:32am
Bill Zebub:

It was my decision to resurrect the Vortex of Chaos.
Avatar 4:33am

Professor Dum Dum it is you.

Avatar 4:34am

I hope to run the lab again.
Avatar 4:35am
dan in wisconsin:

Also, it is not my intention to be an edge lord. I just sort of miss the days when this WFMU ship had a bit more swashbuckling, is all.
Avatar 4:36am
Be Evol Now:

Yes baby jezuz the real wicked one gets far too much attention, the little whore.
Avatar 4:37am

I am happy to see that there has been more bashing of the bastard... but bear in mind that I did so when it was dangerous.
Avatar 4:38am

You paved the way.
Avatar 4:39am
Bill Zebub:

I like iconoclasm, but for the right reasons.
Avatar 4:42am

Avatar 4:43am
Bill Zebub:

Thank you, Fiacha.
Avatar 4:43am
dan in wisconsin:

Indeed. The lab was high iconoclastic art. But enough of my puffery.
Avatar 4:44am
Bill Zebub:

It feels good to know that it was appreciated.
Avatar 4:45am
Be Evol Now:

The world needs more iconoclasts.
Avatar 4:45am
sinister dexter:

high as fuck
Avatar 4:45am
Bill Zebub:

Does it enhance the music, Sinister Dexter?
Avatar 4:47am
Bill Zebub:

I might interview Dr. Richard Carrier for a future show, perhaps in October or November. My comedy bashed the bastard, but it would be fitting for a scholar to do the bashing.
Avatar 4:47am
sinister dexter:

was talking `bout the art
Avatar 4:49am
Be Evol Now:

A large group of my friends still speak of your show and how we enjoyed it. I bet I have some swag of yours that's almost 30 years old. I'll have to have a look about to see what it was.

Avatar 4:53am

Interviewing Dr. Carrier would make for a brilliant conversation and radio.
Avatar 4:54am
Bill Zebub:

I feel honored that he complimented the music selections from the show last week.
Avatar 4:54am
dan in wisconsin:

Sinister Dexter, you're spot on about Elizabeth Fraser having no equal. Cocteau Twins are one of a kind. Their collab album with Harold Budd, The Moon and the Melodies, is a favorite of mine. The singer for Them Are Us Too / SRSQ reminds me of Fraser in some ways.
Avatar 4:54am
