He said all his friends were trying to leave and he would routinely be the only person in McCareen park running. To let us have the time and space and sounds to remember that being here can be a raw, ripping joy. And that it doesn't have to be nostalgia! We're here now! If you have seen Ric Burns' five part New York: A Documentary History, you know the many difficult times this city has experienced from the draft riots in the 1860s to the Great Depression to the 1970s fiscal crisis. It continues to endure as a haven for those of us that don't fit in elsewhere. Maybe this will chase out the posers who were here just for the consumer aspects of the city.

They also have Blues, Latin, and Indian music programs among others. Most of what I know about Jazz (such as it is) comes from listening to WKCR for many years. Glad to hear you have discovered Charlie Parker!

I was cuffed, and they only took out my wallet for my driver's license. They didn't otherwise search me. 45 minutes later, I was released. I wasn't melanin deficient, the results would had been different.

	5:43pm Rick A.: Fair Fight is a great organization. Another one is Vote Forward which involves writing people letters to encourage them to vote. The organization sends you names, addresses, and your print out a template where you write 1-2 sentences, explaining why you vote. It played a part in the voter turnout during the 2018 midterms. It's a great way to have some efficacy and you support the postal service too. I have written forty letters to assorted people in Ohio.

If you have seen Ric Burns' five part New York: A Documentary History, you know the many difficult times this city has experienced from the draft riots in the 1860s to the Great Depression to the 1970s fiscal crisis. It continues to endure as a haven for those of us that don't fit in elsewhere. Maybe this will chase out the posers who were here just for the consumer aspects of the city.

They also have Blues, Latin, and Indian music programs among others. Most of what I know about Jazz (such as it is) comes from listening to WKCR for many years. 	5:43pm Rick A.: Fair Fight is a great organization. Another one is Vote Forward which involves writing people letters to encourage them to vote. The organization sends you names, addresses, and your print out a template where you write 1-2 sentences, explaining why you vote. It played a part in the voter turnout during the 2018 midterms. It's a great way to have some efficacy and you support the postal service too. I have written forty letters to assorted people in Ohio.
