I had a nice chance meeting today: an elderly woman held up the checkout line at the supermarket, which pissed me off, so I ended up carrying her groceries to her assisted living facility. Turned out she's been a dressmaker for theater and movies for over 60 years. She's 85 but was still working when the virus hit (not so much now, for obvious reasons). It took over an hour to cover a quarter of a mile, she had many stories to tell

@JosephB: No, and I didn't ask. She did say she made several dresses for Sophia Loren. I know a bunch of people in the art scene, so our talk was more about shop (how to get a job and career, and did that change over the years: not much) than famous people

@Irene: These are "concerts" by young composers who studied for one year at Ircam. They didn't get a proper concert, but had performances recorded without an audience but with pro video, which highlights playing technique. Some liked the format, some were frustrated, and it was challenging to the composers because they had to make choices about lighting, camera angles and such. Stressful, from what some told me
