in more detail: WTUL (new orleans) had a show called Smace's Oldies Show which was amazingly close to what WFMU became later. he used to play Teenage Head almost every week. when the Shake Some Action album came out - i spotted it in the cut-out section! the groovies NEVER got much radio love, sadly.

Bazooka music reminds me of these Barbie-like dolls my sisters had that came with a record with holes for the dolls' feet in the label area. When you played the record, you put (they put) they dolls on the holes, and the dolls "dancing" (actually just rotated around standing in the middle of the record). I think the dolls reach had names, and they were the "singers". Some of the songs were pretty good. Once in a while one of the songs pops into my head, but not right now.

Hot Slaw is my cajun version of cole slaw. chop all the cabbage for slaw, add: onions, garlic, bell pepper, celery, sharp cheddar cheese - all diced to slaw-size. instead of mayo - use ranch dressing made with creole mustard (zatarain's preferably!) and of course tabasco/crystal sauce and cayenne pepper, etc.

Little interest. I watched a couple of games including the last one. Was pulling for Dallas as I didn't quite appreciate some of the nonsense Tampa pulled against the Isles. But they clearly were the better team and Hedman was absolutely dynamite this post-season and rightfully deserved the Conn Smythe.
