i posted this in another forum program earlier tonight, but my buddy, Don, used to be neighbors with King Diamond in a Dallas suburb apartment complex years ago. Don n Kim are about the same age. Don looks fondly on having King as a neighbor. He told me that King would have his cigs mailed to him from Denmark and that he would only see him at night. Otherwise he was nice and laid back. However his 20 something gf was bat shit

personally, I think King never topped his first album with Mercyful Fate, MELISSA,. I bought it strictly on reading a review of it in Hit Parader magazine when I was 13 and seeing a pic of the band with King wearing upside crosses as earrings. Man...dude should have callled himself King Diamond of Fashion

Do these callers actually listen to the radio show?
I thought shut up Weirdo had eeediots, these must be the same callers.

MEMPHISMIKE:

My 8th grade religion teacher took up my cassette cover of Melissa because i was showing it to a kid in my class and saying " LOOK! KING DIAMOND'S picture is in the outline of an upside down cross!!!" So i had to fork it over to June Peters religion teacher. I remember going up to her after class and asking her "Can I get my Mercyful Fate cover back?" and her stern response was "Nooo!!!". Luckily she did not confiscate the actual cassette which i still proudly own to this day
