Each section of the piece allows for solos from everybody, and modular structural swapping, so it's never the same twice.

Tuba/cello is such a great anchor to the music.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:10pm
david w:

If you listen to the album on Pi Records, all the section names and solo features differ from this concert version. I have preserved the form that Threadgill offered in 2014.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:11pm
david w:

Yeah no "bass" player!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 6:20pm

Interestingly, the drums pop out more in this "cello" section than in the next which "features" drums.

It's hard enough just to get FMU in the office. "Entertainment." WiFi is blocked. Have to use my phone as a mobile hotspot, an old iPad gets the station, then sends it to a wired Speaker, And a beetroot Bluetoothspeaker in another room. It ain't audiophile, butt it IS good company during the day.
