Paul Robeson spoke and wrote about that shameful Jim Crow money dynamic... the incomes for families in the North compared to incomes for families the South and so on- 1955 Average income in the North 4,000 dollars a year, Average income for a Black Family in the south 500 dollars a year! I really do wonder if Richard and Paul ever met one another?

I saw Little Richard play in St. Louis in 2001 at the Pageant, a big, beautiful theater. It was Chuck Berry's 75th birthday. Chuck played this concert on his birthday in his hometown with Little Richard and Duke Robilard as the warm-up acts. Chuck & Richard gave pretty decent performances. Chuck even spent all of ten minutes signing autographs after the show.
