@David in London Plenty of room for you at the virtual bar here in cloudy Astoria, NYC! Grab yourself some complementary Old Bay-seasoned popcorn and get yerself a drink...

David in London:
I did Handy, pints of Old Armbuster all round.
Creamo had a few before he started this set.
And yeah, the thing that I personally hate about COVID-19...other than the general whole plague, death, and economic ruin thing....is that it stole my weekends from me. I miss performance art, gallery crawls, live music, and my usual Sunday post-brunch Happy Hour where a friend of mine spins 70s-80s vinyl from 2-6PM. With free popcorn for all, and sometimes free pizza for everyone or even the occasional souvlaki spinner. I miss all of that.
It's our frequent lament, Threemoons, that it's taken away all the things that make living in NYC great and left only the expense and grind and hassle.

Does can anyone link me to where to find this track, its impossible to google
3:22pm
David in London:
Threemoons, thanks a lot. Make mine a large one.
And yeah, the cultural desolation has been terrible. I’ve actually been to the cinema again twice in the past week, and it’s felt like such a symbolic victory.
Handy--I hear you. I am outtaworko right now, waiting to hear back on a million different little temp gigs, and sweating the small stuff. Still keeping up my SFL and donating small amounts to every arts organization that I view an online event with...
A fine example: A mixed-media musical about the famous Flushing Food Court in Flushing, Queens. Superlocal but still a very fun, very well-produced thing, done via a $10K grant from the City. Linky: www.youtube.com...
Kate also misses playing gigs so much. It's really hard on her. She's now running a people's theater collective that's meeting in the traffic circle at Grand Army Plaza! At least until Sleet Season settles in.
Handy--cool, hope she stays safe! If there's a link to any online stuff that they may have, please tag it up! I still can't believe I lost what was supposed to be my "forever job" back in August but frankly my boss was a bitch who hated me and she couldn't manage her way out of a paper bag...and she's fixing to fire another person in my group; I just got a bunch of panicked texts from him a few days ago. I have a Plan B and C; I feel bad for my ex-coworker because...drum roll...he has a weird autoimmune disease, got a new kidney at the age of 32. He's in his 50's now and has something like 18 months left on his current kidney and needs a spare, fast...sigh..
It's days like this that I like to quote Needleman's Axiom: "Two things are always true. 1--things could always be worse. 2--Never in the history of the spoken word has hearing this ever made anyone feel better.
I don't think they discourage it -- it's all members of the public, after all. Only Kate and her partner are theater people. Everyone else has been recruited from various places. Bilingual in English and Spanish, working through the them of "home" -- grant supported.
This is amazing stuff....perfect for my mood today. Summary: Took a bad fall in the kitchen two weeks ago, landed with full weight on one knee. Knee is fine, but swelling/lymphatic damage led to a swollen leg, which led to causal cellulitis. Dealing with horse pill antibiotics 4x a day, the irony is I'm out of work but still have to set my alarm in the AM to take my meds. On the mend but this antibiotic SUCKS--fatigue and taste perversion already setting in after only 4 doses. Yes, I bought some probiotics when I picked up my meds. This is perfect music for "drooling numbly at your screen while your leg is propped up on a box under your desk" music...
Thank you all! And yes, taste perversion is a Real Side Effect in the PDA. Imagine having the taste of a night of barhopping the night before in your mouth at all times, never mind brushing your teeth etc. My iced coffee tastes like roach spray smells.
ami ad: Going alright, thanks, how about you? Storm's supposed to hit tomorrow night, but it doesn't look like it's going to be that bad. Pretty overcast already.
@ThreeMoons
Whenever I smell roach spray I ask the person I’m with if they are wearing Givenchy and I’m always right. Who wears a cologne that smells like roach spray?
Golly, I've never burped like that before. Excuse me, terribly sorry.

oh really turned on up sounds for this chilly muggy day here, went to battle adding my own sounds of cleaning hair and fuzz off the beater bar then letting the vacum suck and blow the scuzz off the carpets in harmony. pumped up for a week of spazztastic decay and movement and slung retribution toward those slackers on top, to topple, dismember and rebuild the artifice of such a poorly run machine. power to the sockets, power to the people. health is the only wealth that matters, script depth ; )
