They did a record recently with "Ensemble Dal Niente" who are an avant-garde classical group - really interesting. pitchfork.com... And this new album Love-Lore is just an incredible piece of work - they not only cover songs but string them together in a totally brilliant way.

	♥ 7:36am YETI BOB: @Renee, motobro: I had quite a reaction when I finally heard the 1939 recording of "Three Little Fishes" by Mildred Bailey with the Red Norvo Orchestra - it was buried deep in my brain from my Mom singing it to me as a wee yeti. Also a lot of Cab Calloway and Louis Jordan from my Dad. Not until years later when I got interested in jazz did I find the original records and learned where these songs came from.

They did a record recently with "Ensemble Dal Niente" who are an avant-garde classical group - really interesting. pitchfork.com... And this new album Love-Lore is just an incredible piece of work - they not only cover songs but string them together in a totally brilliant way.

Also a lot of Cab Calloway and Louis Jordan from my Dad. Not until years later when I got interested in jazz did I find the original records and learned where these songs came from.
