Ohhh, sorry, johnzo, I misunderstood the expression.

I was born in 1969 and I had to sign up for Selective Service. For me it was always just another line to sign on forms and job applications though, for Xers there was this pervasive sense of "Nah, FOH, there's not gonna be another draft." At least that's how I read it.

uncle michael Im a pacifist but I think I agree... why should poor people & felons pay the price? also a national draft(of everybody) would make the public more war averse. On the other hand I don't see any likely government of this country being mature enough to handle the responsibility. I say put the navy to work cleaning up the plastic in the ocean & have the army/national guard do the same on land.

@johnzo, you get it. End economic extortion to staff the ranks and make it so the more-affluent have ski in the game. The reason we will never have a draft again is that the Vietnam War politicized the families of middle class draftees and undermined support for the war.

OK. I'll qualify that. I guess I'm wrong, you've never presented a "critique" of a movie or TV show in which you're basically saying "You probably think this is worthwhile but I'm here to to tell you it's crap". This year has been negative enough that I don't care to hear about what you hate, be it movies, TV, music or especially encounters with other human beings. I like the music and interviews you present but do some of us a favor and keep your bad vibes to yourself.
2020 has been a year that I would appreciate being shielded from negative stuff when I can avoid it everywhere else.

My $.02: I don't think that expressing an honest opinion or appraisal of a movie, or any artistic work, is "negativity", even though others might hold that work in higher esteem. I get that it can be unpleasant to hear that someone dislikes or doesn't see the value in something you truly love, but people's tastes do not align perfectly, nor should they. That's not a reason to quash discussion.
