Debra Swisher's version of "You're So Good To Me", heard often on the Rock N Soul Stream, is pretty great, too.

For years I would hear 1-2-3 on oldies radio and think, wow, motown should have sued. turns out they did! I just found out this week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm
Dennis Diken:

must check that myron. yes Joe B - was it for a Supremes b-side ripoff?
Avatar 2:33pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm
Gaylord Fields:

I saw Sharon play at the Beacon in 2014, and after a typical powerhouse performance where she left nothing backstage, Dap-Kings guitarist Binky Griptite announced to the audience, "You just had your ass kicked by a 60-year-old cancer patient!" Indeed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm
Dennis Diken:

that's it Gaylord, man...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm
Woo:

Love that Cu-Bop LP cover
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm
Dennis Diken:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm

I was in attendance at James Carr's Tramps performance — one of those soul artists I thought I'd never see (like the rumored-to-have-been-dead Howard Tate, whom I saw at Village Underground).
  3:05pm
Mike Conroy:

Saw Spencer Davis on a bill with the Yardbirds and the Zombies in Baltimore in 2009.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm
Dennis Diken:

@ Gaylord, yeah, I saw him at some other, smaller joint. never thought I' get to see him either. @Mike - who sang with SDG in '09?

Hey Dennis. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon. Always learn so much listening
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm
Candy-O'67:

@Gaylord, you are so lucky you got to see Sharon! I loved her! So sorry she passed way too young. I've got a couple of her records, too.
Avatar 3:12pm
Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Never heard this great ABBA song! Reminds me a bit of Status Quo's pop efforts during their A&M era.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm
Dennis Diken:

blip! so glad you're on board. yeah, I missed out on seeing Sharon live too, alas...
  3:13pm
Mike Conroy:

Dennis- good question, I don't recall who did vocals for SDG in2009.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Candy-O! So sorry you never got a chance. I was privileged to see her early in her Desco (pre-Daptone) years in a tiny club, and she brought it just as hard as she did in the big venues.
Avatar 3:16pm
Joe B:

@gaylord - i saw her once in the desco era - at baby jupiter, if anyone remembers that place
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm
Dennis Diken:

yeah Todd,, nice and breezy. need to check out that Status Quo stash, thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm
Gaylord Fields:

Joe, that might be where I saw her too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm
Candy-O'67:

@Gaylord, that's so cool! I really wanted to see Charles Bradley, too, and had tickets to go see him at a fest here in Austin and he got sick with cancer and had to cancel. Then he didn't recover. I was so bummed I never got to see him either

Sounding good Dennis. The only time I was lucky enough to see Sharon Jones, she did vocals with Booker T and the MG's at Metro-Tech in Brooklyn. Some Stax numbers to close out the show. Glad I skipped work that day!
