Greetings y’all.

@Butterman how is teaching going
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15pm

Hi Becky, skeleton crew, and all the rest of us sinners. Last week's show was fun and so is this one - I love this stuff.

Christian metal is where I draw the line.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm
Becky:

Jim Parks kind of sounds like Dino.
  8:17pm
The Butterman:

Listener John, thanks for asking. It’s been pretty darn good. Things are changing as kids are coming in person starting Monday. 13 people, plus me in my art room which is small. They will be able to less than if they were home. Remote though has been fun and the kids have been doing some great work.
  8:19pm
WFMU listener john:

@butterman hope you and the kids stay safe
  8:20pm
The Butterman:

Thanks John. Pretty nervous.

Gaylord Fields:

Hi, Sister Becky! Wednesday isn't just Sunday at Carvel, it seems.
  8:21pm
WFMU listener john:

@The butternan I would be too
  8:22pm
The Butterman:

I asked one of my students how her banjo studies were going ( I play banjo)((badly))lol, and she busted out her banjo and played and sang frickin’ Rainbow Connection to end the week! Tears! It was awesome!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm
steveo:

I give up, Johnny—who?????
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm
Becky:

Gaylord, you just made me want a Fudgie the Whale very badly. Those not from the tristate area probably think this is filthy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm
Gaylord Fields:

Becky, it certainly is filthy, but not in that way.
  8:25pm
The Butterman:

Gaylord, Becky, now you got me thinking about about CookiePuss. Good thing I already had ice cream
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm
Becky:

I have a good story about a Carvel mix-up by a Midwesterner, but it's actually not appropriate for this show.
Avatar 8:27pm
y_ddraig_las:

A Fudgie the whale is a stout flavoured Ice Cream Cake, [if Wiki is accurate], sounds heavenly!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm
Gaylord Fields:

@y_ddraig_las: I believe that's a typo. It tastes more like trout than stout.
Avatar 8:30pm
y_ddraig_las:

Hmm, trout or fish in general are not good flavours for ice-cream imho.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm
Becky:

There's no way there is stout in a Carvel ice cream cake. It's chocolate or vanilla or those crunchy things. Full stop.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm
Mark Hurst:

I had lobster ice cream in Maine. Decent.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm
Gaylord Fields:

I win! I had the first half hour for when the first tuneless tyke would sing.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

One man's "tuneless" is another man's melodic gold!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
Becky:

Gaylord, when it comes to demented family gospel records, I actually have a great fondness for this 3-song EP side.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm
Becky:

A lot of them are hella whack.
Avatar 8:32pm
y_ddraig_las:

sorry, I was skim reading, the stout whale was a limited edition! Alcohol and ice cream do go together quite well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm
ultradamno:

I hope you were wearing an ascot and accompanied by a woman you referred to as 'luvvy', I don't think there's any other way to eat lobster ice cream.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:33pm
Mr. Fine Wine:

Is a stout whale like a fat bear?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
loveless:

@y_ddraig_las That must have been a rogue franchise.
Avatar 8:34pm
y_ddraig_las:

@Mr Fine Wine if it means they have a massive beer belly, then yes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
Mark Hurst:

@ultra sorry, neither... but I had set a goal of eating lobster at every meal that day. What can you do
Avatar 8:36pm
y_ddraig_las:

Has Big Man been eating too many stout whales?
  8:37pm
Sean Kershaw:

Still listening. And baking magic cookies. Wish the show would still be on after I eats em.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
Becky:

Sean, there's always the archives, if you can remember where to find them ;)

That church stuff reminds me of how I handled being force fed church. My mom would give me an envelope with money in it after getting out of the piece of crap Fury 3 in the parking lot. We would walk toward the building until the edge of the lot. My mother went to the adult area, my sister went to her Sunday School class room and I walked toward mine and walked past it, all the way to the mall where I spent the church money on donuts and candy. Met the fools at the green Plymouth later.
Avatar 8:54pm
y_ddraig_las:

Didn't everyone gather in the church for communion?/ How did you get away with this?
