I dunno. I hear that Twix Corp underpays its miners.

David in London:
Having grown up in 70s Britain, Halloween was not a thing here then, so I have no costume memories to share, good or bad. I did however star as a zombie in a very bad 80s student horror flick, so I’m saying that counts. It was appalling. In every sense of the word.
Could it be someone else's costume, Rex? I'm too lazy to disguise.
David: Same in Honduras when I was a kid, though some expat families celebrated. From the Honduran perspective, once a year the Americans dressed their children like monsters and went house to house asking for candy.
Oh, in that case my friend Ed deserves mention for A) His ginormous full-body sock puppet complete with googly eyes, and B) His ginormous foam core Chinese food box complete with chopsticks.
Rex! Fools! I am back from the world. People out there are putting on Brows, and I don't like it. Glad to be back where I belong! David, Greg, coela, and others upthread: hey there!
What's good, coela? Blue skies in Brooklyn today. Our apt. is completely in shadow from equinox to equinox. I was shocked that it was actually pleasant and not frigid when I went outside.
same here Handy, basically. my old apartment had 2 windows but top floor on the top of a hill and i never even turned lights on during the day, year round. this one has lots of windows but it's cold even when it's 70º out.
it's nice when it's brutally hot out though.
ami: Not any new ones lately, just the two that are dangerously nearby. Oh, I read that an ice-cream shop in Brooklyn has a flavor called Sweet Socialism, and I can't wait till Fox News gets wind of it ;)
JG- Isn't bring a pizza across state lines a violation of the Mann Act??

David in London:
My presence undoubtedly provided the trigger effect Handy.

Mariano: What does Sweet Socialism taste like? Either a weak Soviet tea without enough sugar. Or a Canadian chain store coffee with tons of cream and sweetened with maple syrup.
@Rex , Santillo's has got a pie worth breaking federal law for. And I misspoke , It's not in Bayonne its in Elizabeth. Had my bridges mixed up. Right over the Goethels

Also, was tuning in while on a walk with the dog and caught a snippet of a phone conversation - "Is that because she's losing control?". Seemed appropriate in the context of the show.
And Rex, I may just eat it it in Elizabeth at the Pass Time Tavern instead of defying the interstate pizza law. No tables at Al's but the Tavern will let ya eat yer pizza there

The African island of Madagascar provides us with this single-estate dark chocolate. The result is a decadent, rich sorbet often mistaken for ice cream because of its creamy, milky texture.
Andres: lol! I think it might taste like blåbärsglass.

@SCL@2:23, if you like mint then ask Rex for the mint + dark chocolate kit Kat.

Ami ad. I worked in the British Civil Service once, so yes I certainly have watched people doing nothing. People there were skilled professionals at it.
