If it’s a wild pig, it will have far less fat that the typical farmed pig. So you’ll have to make adjustments if you look at recipes online.

Kris, I've got friends in Coupland who have a pig farm. Their bacon is incredible and they sell whole and half hogs, too, I believe. They sell other things too. You should check them out, Martin Heritage Farms. Coupland is just east of Elgin
