The Silver Star Quartette were featured. My parents never got on with our black neighbors, being "UPTIGHT". That was then. I eventually made a couple friends because we loved to fish together and we adored our black school bus driver who let us off the bus exactly in the best sppts to fish! Thanks for reminding me Mr Nutt.

Ah, well. The kids who signed up for military service (I almost did that!) are smart as it turns out. They get unlimited benefits and discounts for life on everything you could name. My mistake.

Once before the start of shift I was feeling kinda down (forget why) and was sitting at a table trying to get it together, and the pastry chef brought me a slice of torte with a dollop of whipped cream, cheered me right up.

I worked as a lot boy at Stan Olsen Pontiac, then moved on up to Jethro's in the Market, and finally got my dream job at Mertz, and I dated a couple of girls who worked at Homer's. Yeah, that steak was one of only two permanent items on the menu. One of the owners and I were not above bus-tub diving. So many people would leave 3/4 of a steak or 2 out of 3 tenderloin medallions. I had a system, when I'd clear plates and there was something salvageable I'd lay it gently on top of the bus tub and beckon Jan, the owner, to join me in the kitchen. Good times!

	8:28pm Old Dave: This show perfectly replicates one I looked forward to on WRVA AM Richmond VA every early Sunday as a white kid transplanted from Wisconsin. Who never imagined such singing. The Silver Star Quartette were featured. My parents never got on with our black neighbors, being "UPTIGHT". That was then. I eventually made a couple friends because we loved to fish together and we adored our black school bus driver who let us off the bus exactly in the best sppts to fish! Thanks for reminding me Mr Nutt.

Was testing a bass amp at a Guitar Center and some younger guys approached me in thier Sundays finest and asked me to try out for thier church band in East Orange. I declined. 	8:42pm Old Dave: If you were in the Peace Corps, then I recall some events over 30 years ago. You did well there. We were all Sinners and didn't know it, now the whole program gone forever. Ah, well. The kids who signed up for military service (I almost did that!) are smart as it turns out. They get unlimited benefits and discounts for life on everything you could name. My mistake.

Once before the start of shift I was feeling kinda down (forget why) and was sitting at a table trying to get it together, and the pastry chef brought me a slice of torte with a dollop of whipped cream, cheered me right up.

	♥ 8:51pm mariano: I have a feeling we've talked about this before, U.M. I was there from '88-'93. I worked as a lot boy at Stan Olsen Pontiac, then moved on up to Jethro's in the Market, and finally got my dream job at Mertz, and I dated a couple of girls who worked at Homer's. Yeah, that steak was one of only two permanent items on the menu. One of the owners and I were not above bus-tub diving. So many people would leave 3/4 of a steak or 2 out of 3 tenderloin medallions. I had a system, when I'd clear plates and there was something salvageable I'd lay it gently on top of the bus tub and beckon Jan, the owner, to join me in the kitchen. Good times!
