Good Evening Everyone

I have to step out of the shadows to testify. I remember four years ago when a friend posted about David Bowie being a guest DJ on BBC in 1979 (see below). I listened to the recording and thought how wonderful it was and how amazing it must have been to actually listen to it live in 1979. However, the Thin White Duke has nothing on Ira the K for on air diligence, quality or insightful wry commentary. For months now our host has been bringing the noise and melody to our domiciles in our cloistered bubbles. We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the upcoming change of administration and optimistic reports of probable vaccines, but thank you Ira and Georgia for helping us stay grounded and uplifted during this strange time! www.factmag.com...

Years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Todd-o-phonic Todd and Mr. and Mrs. Ira the K took in Bad Santa at the Newport Mall in Jersey City, where rats (in fairness, may have been only one rat) were running around the theater.

Tonight I'm thankful for Ira and his producer spinning tunes for me and expanding my musical horizons. There's been a fair amount of chaos and darkness in the country lately, especially this past year, but there are always rays of light peeking through, and this show (strangely?) brings me a little peace of mind on Tuesday nights. I never would have guessed that an east coast radio show would become a part of my weekly routine, but here we are. Cheers to you all from Denver.
