and anytime I saw Depeche Mode, especially the first time, in 1990 in Marseille, France, Violator Tour when I was 12 and spent the night by the left speaker near the stage, mesmerized

To get the best concert experience you have to be near the stage So: Roxy Music was great as was Mott the Hoople. Saw Girl in a Coma at a little club in NJ, also great. Many moons ago Emerson, Lake and Palmer played at Upsala College (before they were famous): mindblowing.

P-Funk ‘93 @ an old, brick hall at Brown Univ. was an absolutely phenomenal experience. Imagine what it musta been like in the ‘70’s.
And Norman Blake in a tiny church up near the Met museum in like 97-98 was amazing. Just a guy with his guitar. Sweet man. 3 Dead ‘91 MSG shows we’re the best I saw. Ohhhh man.

Went to a concert as part of Edinburgh Festival that included Yo La Tengo and David Thomas with Two Pale Boys, that blew my mind. Will never forget it.
Best noise gigs are Nomeansno every time. The tour with two drummers was intense.

Best concert experiences are too many but a long time ago, David Amram and friends at Upsala College, Richie Havens at a large church in Montclair, and Roberta Flack and Taj Mahal at The Fillmore and the great Phil Ochs at varied places including Carnegie Hall. More recently, Yo Yo Ma at Lincoln Center, James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt at NJPAC. Now, nothing but tired Zoom.

KPX, yes, but I'm feeling much better today! And Heidee Oolong Moon, "Budddha of Suburbia" is from a book that turned into a movie. The title track, which also goes by the same name is by David Bowie. So when I decided on the name it was my way of paying homage to BOWIE without being obvious. Not many people know the song.
