And hi to you, Malcolm, TDK60, doctorjazz and james! It's been too long since I played ISB. I discovered them while DJing at my first radio station, WJSV, a 10-watt high school station. Love those high harmonies!

Been listening to a lot of I.S.B, Fairport, other Anglo/Celt folk, folk-rock. The stretch between Halloween and Yuletide seems to be the best time for it. Don't know why.

Awoke early this morning, 2:00-ish, noting that I'd forgotten to tune in 5:00pm my time last night to Peter K.'s stand-up routine! Hope it went well.

Allan Hull, so great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm
Irene Trudel:

Malcolm, thanks for the reminder of Trembling Bells. must play them sometime soon. Constant Follower, Elektra tried to make Lady Elenor a hit, but I guess US radio wasn't into them as much as I was. TDK60, I'm of a same mind, musically. Dean, no worries. Peter will do another comedy set soon (what time zone are you in?)
Avatar 12:22pm
TDK60:

Irene, one of your channels seems louder than the other, if there are two. Or, one of the players? The Jansch-Pentangle [?] was louder than the Lindisfarne. Then, It's A Beautiful Day seems lower. Anyone else hear this?

Dean:

Pacific. I was making dinner at 5:00, totally forgot.

I missed the opportunity to see Richie Havens at a club in New Hampshire years ago, which I now regret. Also missed Sign on the Window just now because I had to make a phone call, darnit. One of my favorite Dylan songs, and I've recently decided it's in part because it sounds Cat Stevens-ish.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:12pm
Summer and Michael and Sylvia:

Hadn't heard yet about a re-mix of "All Things Must Pass", Irene, but recall that George always had a bit of annoyance about Spector's (over-)production. But agree, it's so iconic, it'd be difficult to tamper with. Also, re: "New Morning" - love that album, kinda seems overlooked... <3

I love that Dylan tune, and yes, that's a bit of an overlooked album. The Harrison remix was mentioned in a Rolling Stone artice I just came across.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm

Wow, TDK60. a well-timed tune maybe?

Hi Irene - I've always loved New Morning and yes it does seem to be overlooked somewhat. I believe that when Dylan's albums were all released on SACD, New Morning, strangely, was not among them.

Ha, Brian! I'm in a 70s-ish mood today. docotrjazz, Peter and I were just listening to a lot of piano albums while I cooked on Thanksgiving. The Dollar Brand/Abdullah Ibrahim album is an old fave too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
doctorjazz:

(this is something we won't see anymore live, Ibrahim going wild with his right hand over on of rhythm ostinato with the left (he's gotten too old-at least, he didn't do it when I saw him with Ekaya last year). Pity...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm

I'm afraid you're right, doctorjazz. Glad I got to see him play a long set (solo) at the Newport Jazz Festival some years ago. Sublime!
