Favoriting December 2, 2020: #052 Ja, we hebben geen bergen.

On it's first birthday, this program will return to the very reason it was brought into existence: repeated requests from listeners and fellow DJs to play the greatest hits of the greatest Dutch bands from the 60s and 70s. Along the way, although remaining Dutch YWHNM extended it's range of pop styles and periods, but today Jan will be playing the wellknown smash hits like Venus, Radar Love and She Was Naked. So clap your hands and stamp your feet!
Also by request and exclusively for this occasion, your host will be announcing the tracks in Dutch!

No, but I can if you want to, but overhere Sinterklaas is first. He has to have left the country before we start talking about Christmas!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:13pm

I don't think I'm in line for any presents from Sinterklaas this year, I've been pretty rotten in every way you can imagine.

Ursula1000:

I have so many of these artists in my collection but strangely I never think of lumping them together as Dutch in my mind as opposed to say something French or British. It's a pretty incredible group of acts!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm
StringOFperils:

This is the part of the show where I always regret selling my nice original copy of Focus III, the double LP with the lenticular screen die-cut cover. Oh well.

Ken's show had about a half hour of yodeling to start this morning so it's close....
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 1:03pm

SOP, you probably won't believe it, but I have the same experience. I bought anither copy later, but not with the original cover....

So is tonight Martinibomb's last show for a while?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm
StringOFperils:

I think this was the ultimate Dutch hit single, not based on sales (which must have been a lot), but on everything musical within it. Can't even count the times I would have thrilled to hear this on a car radio late at night on a higway...the way it builds to the brass section and the drumkit...this record will always be awesome to me!!

Ah yes, the mundane. I know it well. Earning a wage is becoming less familiar, however, but the mundane, it keeps on coming. Always a tsunami of the mundane. Yep.
