slow to the keyboard....A few year back in Cafe Van Kleef in Oakland when Sugar Pie and her companion sidled up to the bar. I told her I had seen her in nola and bk, she turned to her friend and said "See, I told you I was famous. Now you can buy me another drink!" She proceeded to talk to us about her cats, the fire that claimed her husband and her upcoming shows. Wearing my neon scaredy cat wfmu shirt and she graciously took a pic with me.
