Phillippe Bastille:

@Fox so happy you were able to do that. My wife's late mother could not. She lived in a rather large house full of hoarded stuff. 6 bedrooms -- they had built it with the downstairs as a rental unit but she stopped renting it out because she needed a place to store her crap. When she passed, you could only sleep in two of the bedrooms because of all the stuff, and you had to climb over junk to get to one of the beds. It took three full-size dumpsters and about 40 carloads to Goodwill to get it ready to sell, which wasn't for much since it was so neglected.

Hyperdose: You wind them up, and then can cut a small bit of the tube at the top to hold the end of hte wire, for easy identification. Then you fill a box with the tubes, and they are easy to identify and find!

annette - OCD runs in my family, and my mom used to get rid of my stuff all the time, which is I think part of why I ended up with such a hoarding tendency. Now, however, since I'm ADHD and chronically ill, I find life is sooooo much easier the less you own. Honestly, reading that Marie Kondo book was life changing.

@Fox: I'm ADHD. My father is OCD. I can't tell you how many times I has fish through the garbage to find my homework or reports. Any papers left out to him was, garbage.

It's a shame listener David (in London) is missing this -- he tells me he went to Cafe Oto once a week in the Before! A big supporter.

The one before reminded me of when the Daniel Simpson Day character in Animal House rode his motorcycle up the stairs at the party and started making the throat noises.

There will be a "live" youtube performance of Hofesh Shechter's Political Mother Unplugged on 12/29 at 3pm and 1/3 at 4pm. I highly recommend it, though I haven't see this version: www.theatredelaville-paris.com...

My newest FMU-inspired habit is to shout "Don't miss the Party Girls!" when our yelliest, most diva cat yells at me.
