re the "Corn Weenie" track, it comes from here:

and inspired a WFMU meme long before the 'milk rap' took over here. Scores of remixes and mashups resulted:

Years ago, I did a "remix" of the Chipmunk Song where I slowed down their parts so they just sounded like a bunch of middle-aged guys singing "chrisssssstmasssss tiiiimme is heeeeere agaaaaaain..."

I wonder if any of these Chip-nots got a Christmas card from Ross Bagdasarian’s legal team.

TheHipMen:

I think Monchhichi might be based off a knock-off toy
Avatar 2:39pm
Mr Fab:

I guess if you didn't call them The Chipmunks, you were good. (Well, not really "good," but y'know..)
Avatar 2:40pm
BC Sterrett:

Some would use the spelling "Chipmonks" or they would just have a picture of Chipmunks on the cover with a completely different band etc.
Avatar 2:43pm
Mr Fab:

Don't think that would fly nowadays. Lawyers are a lot more aggressive. So don't get any funny ideas, Alvin...Alvin?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm
Kat in Chicago:

Chipmonks! I’m picturing tonsured rodents shrieking out an accelerated version of “Oh, How To Do Now”
Avatar 2:45pm
Mr Fab:

That is hilarious, Kat! Yup, them sped up voices going 'I hate you baby!'
  2:46pm
TheHipMen:

BC, that Monnchichi song you played is based off a toy www.google.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
Kat in Chicago:

Ha, I wonder if I could do that in Audacity.
Avatar 2:49pm
BC Sterrett:

Yes, Hipmen, I had two Monchhichi as a kid. One of my favorite toys in my elementary years. The voices are still Chipmunk :)

Sonny S:

Can anybody help me? I have a vague childhood memory of listening to a version of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" that sounded like The Chipmunks. However, it does not match the two legitimate versions of that song by The Chipmunks that I have found on YouTube. I'm guessing it was probably a Chipmunks rip-off act. What was notable about it was how the Alvin character, presumably, changed the last line of the song from "and a happy new year" to something like "and a kooky new year" (or maybe "goofy new year") which, of course, prompted scolding from the Dave Seville character. Does anybody have a recollection of this? I would love to find that version again if I could only identify the actual artist.
