	3:26pm Mark R: Hi Larry, enjoying the show very much so far. The Faces were an awful lot of fun live, sloppy tho they were--I suppose the sloppiness was part of the fun. I saw them on their last tour, and they literally rolled a bar out onstage, Rat Pack style. One of the volunteers I was answering phones with one Marathon had gotten to know Ian MacLagen very well and said he was a wonderful guy. In the last years of his life, Ian played a weekly bar gig in I think it was Austin. I agree, Erica--his solo albums during the Faces albums were fine with me, they had pretty much all the Faces on them, anyway, but that "If You Think I'm Sexy" shit is for the birds.
	3:27pm Funky16Corners: My concertgoing started a little too late to see the Faces, though I think I saw all of them in later incarnations (aside from Rod)
	3:28pm Funky16Corners: BTW I was in the car this afternoon and heard Alice Cooper doing the VU's Rock and Roll! It was good!

	3:32pm Mark R: This first Little Feat album always catches me by surprise when I hear it on FMU--the vocals, especially, don't sound like the Feat I know. Of course, I didn't really discover them til "The Last Record Album," and their sound had changed a lot by then.

	3:40pm Mark R: Oh, you know, String, I guess it was too melodic or not weird enough or something. I've always found the actual FMU DJs a lot less snobby and elitist than some of our listeners. Most of the folks I've met at the station sort of like everything, no matter what they might be playing on their shows on any given day.

You poor sorry-assed Ariana Grande acolytes....oh man, Redbone...they were part of the first big concert I saw...with the J. Geils Band, and ...ha ha...the Charlie Daniels Band....yay Duluth, MINN !

	3:44pm Candy-O'67: Yeah, String! You're a little older than me, but I'm so happy to have grown up in the Gold era, as well!

	3:45pm wendy del formaggio: I am a total amateur dancer. Pretty decent, though!
	3:45pm StringOFperils: Redbone warmed up their set with a real Plains Indians drum circle for about 15 minutes. That was indigenous cool WAY ahead of its time. Props to those guys.

	3:45pm Candy-O'67: Love She Pays the Rent! I really dig the modern Nomads' version also (Swedish or Norwegian - can't remember where they are from exactly. :)

	3:51pm Candy-O'67: I agree, dutchtheo! I saw They Lyres in 2019 here in Austin just shortly before 2020. So happy I got to see them at Beer Land, a small club, and I was right up front, center stage. I talked to Jeff Conolly also at the bar before they played. He was a dry sense of humor kind of guy. I was crackin' up, too - had his organ set up on a milk crate! haha!
	3:52pm Mark R: J.Geils was the first concert I ever saw, String--they were ALWAYS a lot of fun. Saw them another time a few years later and they were even better!
	3:52pm Funky16Corners: Saw The Lyres a bunch of time at a bunch of different places, but the shows they did at Maxwells in Hoboken were legendary.

	🥁 3:54pm dutchtheo: The Lyres did some nice (dutch) Outsiders covers, i've seen them a couple of times in the 1980s, once Jeff was pretty drunk The Nomads were also a great live band
	3:54pm Candy-O'67: I can't believe I didn't ever see J. Geils! Mistake now!!! I didn't really get into them until way after they were popular in the '80's. Their '70's stuff was so awesome!

	3:55pm Candy-O'67: I hear you, Larry! I could totally see that. I remember them playing forever when I saw them, too.
	3:56pm Funky16Corners: Jeff was/is a serious record collector, so they had a deep well of obscure covers to draw from
	3:56pm Candy-O'67: I could testify to that, Larry! I would say he was that night in Austin! And I'm the sober one for a long time now. So, I can tell! ;)

	4:29pm Candy-O'67: And Beck! I had this CD, as well. I used to frequent his club Spaceland A LOT in LA. Lots of good shows there in Silverlake! They had the coolest lounge in the back of the bar that had glass windows around it and a glass door like going into a store anywhere. They would actually let you smoke in there after smoking was banned in bars. I didn't care for that part of it after I quit drinking and smoking. Fun times there, for sure!

	3:26pm Mark R: Hi Larry, enjoying the show very much so far. The Faces were an awful lot of fun live, sloppy tho they were--I suppose the sloppiness was part of the fun. I saw them on their last tour, and they literally rolled a bar out onstage, Rat Pack style. One of the volunteers I was answering phones with one Marathon had gotten to know Ian MacLagen very well and said he was a wonderful guy. In the last years of his life, Ian played a weekly bar gig in I think it was Austin. I agree, Erica--his solo albums during the Faces albums were fine with me, they had pretty much all the Faces on them, anyway, but that "If You Think I'm Sexy" shit is for the birds.

So happy I got to see them at Beer Land, a small club, and I was right up front, center stage. I talked to Jeff Conolly also at the bar before they played. He was a dry sense of humor kind of guy. I was crackin' up, too - had his organ set up on a milk crate! haha!

They would actually let you smoke in there after smoking was banned in bars. I didn't care for that part of it after I quit drinking and smoking. Fun times there, for sure!
