I can't say I had a bad time for the first real "post-Covid" vacay. Three days were spent in Sioux City, Iowa cleaning out a beloved, late Aunt's storage unit. Some great mid-century furniture and tchotchkes, but a lot of junk. The shipping part did not make me happy. Part two was relaxing in the desert in Palm Springs, California. Hot AF, but who cares if your pool-side with a beer? Made some nice thrift store finds.🏊‍♂️🍻

Thanks, for the kind words, all! I already have too many tchotchkes, but these could not be passed up. Yeah, Feldpausch! I fell in love with the city the first time I visited. Scott, yup! Some really, really fine architecture that is beautiful and homes I covet, but can nowhere near afford! Nice to look at, though!

My favorite places to go in Palm Springs is The Shag gallery and RoboLights. Last time I was there, my GF and I took a bouquet of flowers to Frank Sinatra's grave.

Scott, 😂😎 Op-Shop I can see as there was a great shop called "Opportunity Village" in the Las Vegas Arts District (yes, they have a very cool Arts District!). I say was as it burned in a fire several years ago. Reopened, but not the same. New donated stuff, not old things with a story.

Shangri-La, yup, here in DC too, pretty much. When I was a younger buck, I used to go to the stores next door in Paterson, NJ where they had some really great stores. And then have some really great falafel and hummus at some of the Lebanese cafes.
