	♥ 12:52pm david_r: I guess this is the only time and place anyone would be interested to know I have seen Doug Gillard play live just once, and it was with a GBV tribute band. I've never seen GBV, so I don't know if they were a good tribute but it sounded right. They had an energetic fake Pollard as I recall.

	12:52pm Listener Robert: The whitehead would pull out intact in its own capsule like a seed that had its wide part breaking the surface of the skin. Frequently it helped to prepare the skin by causing it to swell a bit by using soap. What people perceive as "drying" of skin by soap is actually a mild inflammation. I would deliberately produce that by applying a paste of Ivory Snow (when that was actual soap powder) with a small amount of water and leaving it on longer than would be needed to wash with it before rinsing it off. When the skin was dry later, sometimes after a bit of a lag or two such treatments spaced in time, it might be slightly reddened, but the whitehead would stick out more prominently as the swollen skin pulled away from it. Alternative preparations to Ivory Snow were a thick lather of Ivory soap or a thin smear of hand dish detergent or shampoo.

	1:22pm Alexandra: I have a “turntable” air freshener in my car’s air vents. It’s stupid. You just dab essential oil on the little foam thing. They haven’t made it for in home use yet though.

	♥ 1:22pm Krys O.: My downstairs neighbor uses some sort of fragrance that smells like body odor. The stench is awful and living in a 100+ year old house, the scent wafts up to my apartment. This happened on Saturday morning and I had to turn on the kitchen wall vent and take out the Mrs. Meyer's candle, but I discovered that I had no matches, not even a piece of spaghetti to light from a stove burner. Luckily, the candle scent was strong enough without being lit. Phew.

	1:31pm Alexandra: Ok — what’s the worst smell you’ve ever smelled? I used to have a roommate who literally NEVER once in the six months that I lived with him cleaned his cat’s litter box. The cat eventually gave up and just used our cat’s litter box upstairs. I would buy and replace his cat’s litter box every few months and every time the ammonia would make me cry and gag. Second closest worst smell is at the Bunny Museum in Pasadena. Old litter box smell with… like the smell of dust if that makes sense? Clean your litter boxes people!

I've never seen GBV, so I don't know if they were a good tribute but it sounded right. They had an energetic fake Pollard as I recall.

	12:52pm Listener Robert: The whitehead would pull out intact in its own capsule like a seed that had its wide part breaking the surface of the skin. Frequently it helped to prepare the skin by causing it to swell a bit by using soap. What people perceive as "drying" of skin by soap is actually a mild inflammation. I would deliberately produce that by applying a paste of Ivory Snow (when that was actual soap powder) with a small amount of water and leaving it on longer than would be needed to wash with it before rinsing it off. When the skin was dry later, sometimes after a bit of a lag or two such treatments spaced in time, it might be slightly reddened, but the whitehead would stick out more prominently as the swollen skin pulled away from it. Alternative preparations to Ivory Snow were a thick lather of Ivory soap or a thin smear of hand dish detergent or shampoo.

This happened on Saturday morning and I had to turn on the kitchen wall vent and take out the Mrs. Meyer's candle, but I discovered that I had no matches, not even a piece of spaghetti to light from a stove burner. Luckily, the candle scent was strong enough without being lit. Phew.

	1:31pm Alexandra: Ok — what’s the worst smell you’ve ever smelled? I used to have a roommate who literally NEVER once in the six months that I lived with him cleaned his cat’s litter box. The cat eventually gave up and just used our cat’s litter box upstairs. I would buy and replace his cat’s litter box every few months and every time the ammonia would make me cry and gag. Second closest worst smell is at the Bunny Museum in Pasadena. Old litter box smell with… like the smell of dust if that makes sense? Clean your litter boxes people!
