	9:13pm Listener Gregory: I was extremely impressed with Billy Preston’s playing as shown in the Get Back documentary. I know how great his parts were in Don’t Let Me Down, etc, but what a professional and intuitive musician! The Beatles seemed to give him no direction at all—just let him play.

	🦀 ♥ 9:13pm doctorjazz: WR, expected not to like it, but, hey, not much else TO do in Cleveland (aside from attend the wedding I went for). But I really did enjoy it, especially the Beatles stuff I mentioned, other cool stuff as well.

	🦀 ♥ 9:15pm doctorjazz: I still haven't seen the doc, have to one of these days. The Beatles may have given Preston a free hand, but the cameraman ignored him most of the time (in the clips I saw), had to really watch for him.
	🦀 ♥ 9:17pm doctorjazz: (not to disparage Preston, his contributions were huge. But, hey, it wasn't bebop or classical music, fairly simple to sit in (which is what they were going for on Get Back).

	9:23pm Listener Gregory: In the documentary Preston’s playing is shown just as much as that of the Beatles. But he was only there for like 1/3 of the sessions. I agree it wasn’t bebop, but what he played fit the songs so perfectly that it was kind of amazing.

	9:13pm Listener Gregory: I was extremely impressed with Billy Preston’s playing as shown in the Get Back documentary. I know how great his parts were in Don’t Let Me Down, etc, but what a professional and intuitive musician! The Beatles seemed to give him no direction at all—just let him play.
